Everything else trys to strike up a balance of the demands of casual gamers and BF veterans. And sometimes the casuals win, as is the case of the BF3 map design with all the flags close together in conquest.
What exactly would you want to turn off that you can't currently ?
You can already turn vehicles off and have an infantry only server if you wish. Equally you can choose what map size you want, what player count you want, and what map rotation you want.
What kill bonus are you referring to ?
OMFG GUYS!!!
I have found the most fun server EVER... If you like shotguns that is!!

Ive tried a few shotguns, cant get on with them at all. Perhaps some of the later ammo unlocks improve them. Tbh, theyre the most ridiculously overpowered weapons in the game. Theyre not even remotely near any form of realism. 100m+ ive been killed with shotties, crickey if they were that good in reality, i could shoot pheasants from my sofa.![]()
I hate paid for maps, they are the scurge of the fps genre, we already have a fragmented, dwindling player base that will be further divided by a paid for map pack. Paid for dlc I have no issues with but it should only be guns and skins. Maps should be free for all like dice originally promised otherwise the community is divided in half and half again each time they do it.
Luckily, I've not had any long range shotgun deaths, maybe they were using Slugs?
Personally, I've unlocked 3 shotguns:
870, tight pellet spread, good if you can aim
M1014, wider pellet spread, good if you can't aim
USAS-12, mega ROF but high recoil and you dont get much ammo
I've never had any success with slugs, flechette and frag ammo (or medium/long range shooting).
I only use them on TDM-Canals/Karg to get specific ribbons and medals (I think there is too much spread even on Grand Bazaar).
Sooooo, try the basic 870 (no scope/buckshot) on a 48/64 player TDM Canals map, I think its great fun.
