I would like to request OcUk will keep the following threads alive in the BF3 forums to gain DICE's attention. This thread was made ages ago and many have replied but still no offical response.

The thread is about redoing the map loading screens.

Huge threads about it here on BF3 forums.

Bf3 Get Satisfaction.

Here is the thread from the BF3 forums
So I was kinda fed up how the map loading screen looks so unpolished and incomplete so I decided to create a brief outline what DICE should have done! I did make this in paint so it will obviously look rubbish but its a rough outline what a map loading screen should be in the world of battlefield.

I know this is a windowed mode but windows wont let me take screenshots for some reason, they come out black - but the black frame around the loading screen still appears anyway in full screen.

We need a map briefing - this to me is important, I personally like to know why we are fighting here and what cause does our win\loss have.

I want to see the server message and graphic - I'm sure many server owners would like to put their own clan logo on the server. The owner may want a certain rule that players have to obey such as "no attacking unmanned jets in the uncap." or "campers will be kicked". Just any message the owner may want to convey.

Map overview - A picture of a detailed map will be a good idea like in battlefield 2.

I hope you guys agree with this idea, I'm not saying the layout of each feature must be placed accordingly to the image but they should be treated as features which should be placed in the loading screen.

TL;DR - I want the loading screen to be like BF2 loading screen.

I made a copy of this post on the battlelog forums, please post your feedback there to make this thread noticed by DICE.

I realised that I spelt "graphic" wrong lol =\

So even though they are impressive no scopes, what DG fails to tell people was the end score when he's doing them :D :D. Now I know how these video's work :p, secrets out

wat neil fails to say is i was doing no scopes :p

anyway video done :D

3rd last clip with the 2 snipers looking at you, pretty much 99% of the bf3 players are like that. :p

The moment some one runs past and you end up shooting them when you weren't looking for them. :D

Just become away of a weird problem that may have been happening for a few days already.
basically i have 2 hd6950 in crossfire, and i don't think they are working properly. i run afterburner showing gpu usage, and they normally aren't showing close to 100% usage. sometimes as low as 60-70% changing graphics settings doesn't make usage go up and framerates are dissapointing. i just experimented turning everything to low and framerates didn't even go above 100fps. all that happened is my gpu usage dropped.

then i tried switching to a smaller 1280x1024 monitor to see if i could get framerates up, and they didn't go higher, but gpu usage dropped below 50%

relevant specs are i5 2500 @4.5 , 16gb ram, twin hd 6950, 1440p monitor
running latest drivers.
i think i may have had problems for a few days cos noticed choppy gameplay for a bit but didn't twig low gpu usage until someone else complained of the same thing today. and that got me testing a few things.

anyone else noticed this? maybe a recent driver update broke something.

gonna do more testing, back later

Usage will go down as you lower the resolution. The driver isn't feeding the card enough data to be processed. Either the drivers need more optimisations done (probably, I get similar results of gpu usage by has no effect on my fps, it still sucks at times) or the game itself has graphics issues (possible, tried both amd and nvidia cards, both suffer from under utilisation in some scenes).

From some testing I've noticed that tweaking that network meter to the left has a detrimental effect of fps, guessing the cpu is getting loaded up with more work. Don't feel the need to overclock my i5 750 if it's just a threading issue though.

I appreciate this testing Gzero. What more can we expect from you in the coming days?

3 guns then totally unlocked them all then i think ill do vehicles :p

not looking forward to jets :(

Jets are grand once you've learnt how to turn as quickly as possible. After that as long as you keep an eye out for enemy jets sneaking up behind you you're relatively free to do what you like.

Having the same problem with 7970 Xfire, it's head wrecking. FPS stays the same no matter what settings I have on! Campaign seems ok just MP.

The game uses tessellation in smoke, fire and clouds and such, it's only when I look at flames in the distance like on Caspian Border that they creep up to 98% usage.
