What mouse?

I dislike any other DPI other than 800 on my G700. Everything else feels too accelerated or too slow! 500reports/sec of course.
 
Guys, I have been having a problem with being the gunner in Attack Helos. My change weapon doesn't seem to work. It works just fine as the pilot or tank driver for picking their alternative fire modes but not for the gunner position when I want to switch to guided missile. I have guided missile selected in the customise options but it refuses to switch to it. I have checked the keybind is the same for helicopters as it is for land vehicles and aircraft when it comes to switching weapons but still nothing.

Ideas welcomed :)

Yeah it's a little weird. Sometimes you have to press 'F' to change weapons, other times it's 1 or 2.
I've not remapped those keys btw.
 
Logitech G9X. Got a cheap deal on the MW3 version - ugly logo but at half price I wasn't going to say no. Very comfy with the smaller grip on (smallish hands) Buttons are a little firmer than my Copperhead though, so it's going to take some getting used to. So far I'm liking around 1200dpi on foot and 2000dpi in a tank. Only tried flying once - didn't end well. Was at 5700dpi but the thing just wouldn't turn - think I need practice.

Edit: Oh, I can remember the 2142 details, got them right here and the game installed :p

Dice true to form on patches though. Despite people saying they wanted bf2 redone, they forget that bf2 was a buggy game when released and after a dozen patches is still buggy as hell.
 
Interesting \ Utterly stupid that AA guns damage against infantry has been reduced? They spit out large rounds at an insane rate yet the obvious thing to do is nerf them against human targets...:confused:

Not as if people go hammering around maps actively looking for infantry in these, i see the odd infantry kill here and there but from what ive seen its never been a huge problem with them hunting infantry instead of aircraft.
 
I think I have as many kills against infantry as aircraft (1 a piece :p).

I'm reserving judgement on the patch. AA might be able to damage, but as far as I've read on the PS3 forums, the range is so nerfed you can't actually lock.

I guess we'll see tomorrow.... Wonder how big it's going to be.
 
Just having a game there on seine crossing and as usual everyone was mortaring :rolleyes: so I just got my mortar out in base spamming as well and I fired one at the tank around "A", as soon as I fired the M1 abrams showed up right in front of me so I got off that and jumped in the tank and next thing I killed the tank (obviously was from the mortar), but the kills came up showing that it was done by the M1 abrams! :D

And of course I got accused of cheating as that is what the most popular/well known cheat is at the minute, killing from across the map with no line of sight! lol :D

Let me know if you need any tips, some you don't need to 'aim' for (time in this army...) others are a right pain, although the patch will make some easier.

Ive seen quite a few people use them as anti infantry weapons a lot. But I agree, there's better ways to reduce that. Rather than making its weapon less powerful, I would make it so the barrel cant be lowered further than say, 100 degrees. Then give it a second seat with a machine gun like the tanks for infantry defence.

We have confirmed that as a part of the latest mega-Battlefield 3 patch that was just released for the PlayStation 3 (and coming soon for the Xbox 360 and PC) it will have short cut items for purchase.

Yes, that’s right:* from Battlefield 3 you will be able to purchase short cut bundles that allow you to upgrade to all of those unlocks without earning them. We call it pay to get better weapons, if you know what we mean.

The three bundles include a Kit Shortcut Bundle, Vehicle Shortcut Bundle, and the Ultimate Bundle, which unlock all items from all other shortcut packs. While some are going to complain, we have to admit that it isn’t surprising that EA and DICE have offered it as an option. It does take a lot of time and commitment to unlock all those items.
