I wish I had a decent connection. Tiscali broadband here....

On another note, I'm in a quandry. I wanted to install 2142 again, but it got messy during patching. Anyway, uninstalled it, but Origin still thinks Northern Strike is installed - any way I can fix that? (2142 is the disc version, and I can't add it to my Origin games as it is too old).

:D

These stupid dead zones on the joy stick annoy the **** out of me.... I cant for the life of me fly anything with the mouse!! I dont know how people do it!

Anyways i've decided to buy my old fav joystick logitech extreme 3d pro... will see how i get on with that!

Try a 360 controller with a cheap wireless interface. Works for me.

Word of warning; Kiddies break up for Easter tomorrow, so you get to endure 2 weeks of kiddies playing BF:3, if you know what i mean.

I honestly dont see the issue with any of those things.

I enjoy being able to customize what scope i run with as opposed to having to use the one the gun comes with. It also enables you to choose what type of loadout you want, customizing the gun for automatic fire, burst fire long range, or for firing from the hip at ultra close range.

At the end of the day vehicles in BF2 still drove at 50 % health, this is no different. Only difference is now that if you take a vehicle to 50 % health you get 100 points for disabling it and it impares the vehicle so as to disable it from being able to chase you round etc..

I honestly don't see the unlock tree as all that complicated, once you get your head round the fact that unlocks are per gun and not global (which i think most of us got our head round within a day or two) then you're away.

What he said :p;

It's not complicated at all it's just f'ing annoying and COD-like for anyone who doesn't have 20hrs a week to spend on the game. Basically to be on any sort of level playing field with the regulars (regardless of skill level) a casual gamer has to stick to the same bloody weapon all the time to make it anywhere near useful.

You unlock an ACOG, u should be able to use it for all guns like in BC2, it's a universal attachment ffs. It really limits the types of guns that a I can use  And also means I basically have to choose one weapon in each class that I want to specialise in. By the time I get heavy barrel on anything BF4 will probably be out!

There as sooooo many guns I want to try out i.e. the famas but can't as the stock sights are god awful! :( And not to mention the recoil/bullet spread :(

So for assault, I just mainly use aek, M16A3, F2000
Support - M27AIR, AS VAL (only gun that is actually good as stock)
Engineer - A91, G36
Don't play recon at all really :p, but when I do, it is AS VAL that I choose

I find that any decent scope and the foregrip attachment along with the suppressor gives a pretty big advantage.

i have become a big fan of the An94 again, doing really well, the ironsite is tough like the famas at first, but you don't need that many kills to get a scope

Bfbc2 better destruction? don't think so.

IMO BC2 destruction just beats BF3 for that area. As said some aspects are better in BC 2 and vice versa for BF3. How can some tiny trees/wooden poles bring a tank at full speed to a complete halt in BF 3?

I also think the animation looks better for Bc 2 when explosions go off and side walls are blown to pieces :D

Great!

Won't get any teamwork at all now and will have snipers camping at the very back worrying about their k/d, fun times :D

Also downloading the patch now, according to origin it is going at 3.8MB/s but it is actually going at 2.60MB/s :p

Can't wait for the free upgrade to 60MB package (happening next month for me) :D
