I take it the less players on a server the better this game runs?

Is that cpu bottlenecks or gpu bottlenecks? I cant see how players per map would affect gpu performance, as the gpu is just for rendering etc...

I have a i7 920 on 6 GB ram and 5850, i run it on 1980x1080 all detail on low... i get a solid 110 FPS on all 64man servers!

This game runs amazing, however i've disabled hyper threading.

That is the thing, I have been watching quite a few videos lately as to the differences between low, medium, high, ultra etc. (looking at upgrading my GPU as even with everything on low and turned off, the game still gets crappy FPS :p) and they all look the same essentially, the only biggest difference that I can see is in the shadows and some things in the distance look a bit smoother along with a few better looking textures, but even still, the difference isn't MASSIVE.

Don't think I will bother spending as much on a GPU as I was going to be now, don't see the point of forking out £150+ to play on high, ultra when the difference isn't worth it :(

And loads of other videos.

high is the best

doesnt look crap like on low and doesnt have the extra crap of ultra in your way :p

game feels a lot more balanced now even on vehicle rape matts server :D

bizar is so different now how it plays . which is a lot better

its better than it was feels different movement wise bit nippier faster animations

as long as teams arnt stacked should make for more interesting games now instead of vehicle rape vehicle stack team rape .

Have been reading comments on the new patch on BL :D

However, from what I have read about the tanks, jets so far, I don't think that it is a great decision tbf. It seems that DICE have gone a done the typical move, gone from one extreme to the other extreme.

So now Javelin hit tanks on 78% health then kaboom tank is destroyed.

2 rpg kill tanks without hitting the rear

And apparently if you have a skilled jet/heli pilot in the air, good luck taking them out :p

But at least the b2k maps should be much more fun to play now as a ground-troop, tanks just completely raped on those maps.

Feedback from one round of Metro and one of Caspian:

1. Suppression on Metro around the stair areas is CRAZY, you can hardly shoot straight

2. Hip fire seems have to more spread, Foregrip on or off (need more time)
2a. Aimed fire seems little changed (again need more time)

3. Several glitches in Metro fixed

4. People on Metro couldnt MAV ride even when prone

5. Anti-tanks weapons much stronger, repair tool much slower

6. Many other UI changes, minimap (Press B), tank explosions have more fire, new sounds etc

Overall, the changes to suppression are the biggest for me, basically first to pull trigger has a BIG advantage, plus snipers can long range suppress which is one of the first things you'll notice on Caspian.

Summary, it's got harder (for me anyway).

thanks dude, looking forward to getting home and downloading!

Tv misslie on the attack choppers feels less twitchy that before. They getting there. Now they can fix the things they have broken with the patch. In 2 rounds i had a load of silly suicide kills from jumping and when landing with the parachute.

Thought the hyperthreading issue with this game was fixed now so that u don't need to disable it?!

I remember a couple of weeks ago people mentioned an FXAA injector to use with this game which made it run smoother and clearer to see enemies, is that still doing the rounds or was it banned?

also noticed increase in suicide kills

First impressions after a couple of rounds - I like the patch. Air didn't seem incredibly overpowered in the Caspian game which was nice, although that could have been simply due to the fact that we had a couple of reasonable pilots to keep them busy.

Stinger missiles lock on very quickly, but are easy to shake with flares, or by virtue of the fact that you can evade the initial lock if you're simply flying at normal speed as the range seems tiny.

I also found that there was less lag and slightly better hit detection - not sure if this is due to the patch or due to me shifting my laptop around to get a better signal (connection sharing) and moving the interpolation slider from 100% to 50%.

Firing from the hip also seems to be a lot less accurate. I had a few people not manage to land a hit on me despite firing first and had time to scope in and drop them with the A-91 (still awesome btw).
