Battlefield 3 thread - Server details in opening post -

One interesting one is, people have been complaining about Operation Metro in the original game, that it's tight infantry, it's not Battlefield, people hate this, this is what makes people move away from Battlefield. Actually, it's the most popular map on all platforms.

That guy really needs a boot in the swingers if he thinks the map is "popular". Its been said since launch is nothing but a point farming map yet dice interpret this as "popularity" and not people whoring points to get unlocks. :rolleyes:

Game devs are getting more like politicians how they spin things, a simple yes or no answer isnt possible from them anymore.
 
Had my first go in a knife only server tonight. I was in stitches with laughter for the first 5 mins. All 32 players were just in a big group trying to knife each other, it's one of those moments where you need to be there to see the funny side of it. All the defibs going 'beep' beep' beep' sounded like a bleedin supermarket checkout. I couldn't resist laying down a claymore or 2 in the middle of the group and i quickly got kicked hehe. I returned to the server apologizing to the admin but after 15 mins or so, it just felt like stat padding to me. Laying down tons of medkits, and reviving someone every second of the game.

im sure its fun, IMO these should be 'unranked' shame you cant change it, taking tags is meant to be an art, those servers make it for noobs, and can get stupid high knife kills that clearly would not be gained in a "normal" match
 
on consoles EAs terms and conditions prohibit you from enforcing weapon rules on a server such as "knife only"

If you're caught, they can take your rented server off you without compensation.
