Battlefield 3 thread - Server details in opening post -

Keyboard/Mouse every time. Especially for helos.

Takes a little while getting used to if you are new but stick with it and it will come. Nothing more satisfying than circle strafing a building in the air watching infantry run for their lives while you decimate the area with twin chain-guns :D
 
And there is nothing more satisfying than trolling air vehicles with your friends with soflam and multiple javlins :D

he pulled the moves off a lot better when he was flying with us then he did in this video but this video shows a little of what hes like, he also took us on a stunt route hes got around damavand and omg he was awesome!

Lol, managed to push through 3 consecutive rounds of Metro yesterday on LTMatts server, joined during the first and voted it in twice afterwards:) thanks to all those who helped with the vote!!

The highlight was probably in the last round, we were getting owned unable to even get to our closest flag, C, and theres a congested hallway just to get to it... i rambo'd my way in there, threw all of the ordinance i had at it. Ran in, blew my m416 clip killing 2-3 people, switched to handgun, got another. got killed got revived, had nothing left to fire/throw so ran forward and knifed Jimlad, taking his tags face on. All int he space of about 10 seconds:)

starting spawn points!

it's funny that, on the US side of swine tossing i always spawn next to the jeep on our server (cq247).. why is that? its like it remembers your spot? on other servers i get random places, anyone else notice this on servers they play a lot?
 
Same as me Jim I never get the US tank on Seine always spawns me near the jeep! Even if i wait for people to spawn it still spawns me there!

I'mma try an xbox pad with this soon myself. I've probably logged 160+ hours on the xbox, and maxed out all the airborne vehicles and consider myself to be a pretty damned good pilot. But I can't get away with using the keyboard.

Using two thumbs to fly on a pad is a lot easier for my brain than using 6 fingers on keys :p

yeah its odd as others seem to spawn, im always one of the first to spawn, its all about the SSD the internet speed seems to have nothing to do with it, as i had a 2mb o2 line before i got this 60mb virgin and was always an early spawner
 
thankfully my newish rig with i2500k 8gb and 64gb crucial 300 does what i need. its only if im having a cig break or something that ill come back between map loads and miss out on the tank especially on say seine or another.
 
Hah, just got BF3 (for free thanks trade in game) and have come to the conclusion my rig sucks!

just got a new 7850 to go with my aging core2duo wolfdale @ 4ghz to find unstable 30 fps at 1080 res with all settings to low

Graphics card load : 30% (im so glad i overlocked it to 1100 :/)
Cpu Load : ....100% on both cores!

gaaaaaaay, thank god i ordered an i5 2500k this week lol :p
