Soflam is so overpowered. Was playing Sharqi earlier and a well placed soflam was just destroying our heli before it could even take off with 3 or 4 missiles inbound instantly. No way to beat it as even when you do get off the ground it's range plus the range of javelins when locked on is infinite. Add to that the fact that it takes a ridiculous amount of hits to destroy, a single squad can dominate a 64 player map from a spawn beacon on an unassailable building.

Just one more game flaw to add to the pile...
 
TV missle it while ya pilot hides behind spawn building! That's the only way of killing it on sharqi if u have a downy team! I take it u was attacking?

Yeah pretty much, either couldn't get anyone who could fly properly (nose constantly down so impossible to fire tv missiles) or I was pilot and they didn't have tv missiles lol
 
I can't play for more than 20 minutes without getting 'You have been disconnected from EA online'

Anyone know how to fix this time out?

You may well be having the same problem as I was. I'll post up a guide tonight for what I did, at work atm, and work internet is filtered, sorry :(

Does it happen completely randomly? The view in-game goes weird like its out of of the map, and then closes the game?
 
That 'crappy auto balancer' as you call it does a vital job. It stops either side from having anymore than a one man advantage. It gives you two warnings in chat before any switch is made. What likely happened in the scenario you mentioned is someone left on the other team, making the sides imbalanced. Since you were the last person to join, it moved you. Also if one side wins by more than 250 tickets it will scramble the teams.

It does serve a good purpose but still annoying. I played almost a whole round and got swapped over to the losing team with 1 ticket left as since we had slaughtered them, loads of people quit before the end and hence I was auto balanced just before I got my winning medal...........:mad:
 
would be nice if the auto balancer did just that so if one team one stacked for instance :D....... would make for a lot more entertaining games ;)
 
was playing a fair bit last night

two things annoyed the hell out of me


1) supression - love the idea of this when people are supressing you at a reasonable distance, what I dont like is when you get the jump on someone and shoot them mulitple times in the chest / head at point blank range and get no hit markers because they are spraying bullits not even in your direction and so dont die, and then turn round and kill you while you are reloading :(

2) long range insti-kill shotgun sniping - have they made these more accurate lately? more powerfull than a sniper shot and just as accurate doesnt make much sence to me :(

its designed to mix up the teams, but breaks up squads last, lone wolves and half empty squads will be moved first. if you have say 8 good players spanning two squads it will have a limited outcome.

1. both squads get moved to the different team (moaners like DG don't notice)
2. both squads remain on the team
3. one squad is moved.

in outcomes where everyone in sqauded up it shuffles.

at the end of the day moaners will moan,
