think bf3 is about the 8th most played fps online peak time about 100,000

cod4 has about 4 times as much cod2 even has 2 or three times as many.

Thanks. Will probably go for the non-glass one too. Not sure whether a single GTX670 or 680 would be enough for it though! :confused:
 
Only just got round to playing this in the last few days, my god it's frustrating me.

The starting weapons just seem so weak, I've just been in a game where I shot someone with the sniper rifle 3 times and then he bunny hopped his way into cover. Yet everyone who snipes me is taking me out in a single shot.

It just seems to take so much to kill people. I like the idea of suppression however the effect is way too much for me, at times in the last game the bases were just being bombarded by several tanks, planes and choppers all at once, the A-10 would fly over shooting some rounds over our spawn and we would basically have to run blind to cover whilst everyone else picked us off.

I suppose I'll have to endure to unlock some better gear and get used to the supression effect more, however it just seems like a step down from BC2 so far from me.
 
Even after unlocking ALL of the guns, I still only use the M16A3. It's the gun you start with on the US side, and by far the best all-rounder :p
 
M16, M4A1 and M416 are my personal favourites for assault and engineer, (basically the same weapon lol). Recon, it's gotta be the M40A1, ive unlocked all the sniper rifles, but this one is by far my fave. Dont really play support much. So cant say too much about the machine guns.

To be honest until somebody told my on ts I never even saw the red boxed marked guys. I was always watching the guys in the bus and trying to guess when to shoot them. I must have donw this mission 10 times before somebody told me.:o

Probably doesnt help that some people are unable to play bf3 because of system requirements, fast pc, dx10/11 etc. I have loads of steam friends who would like to play it but dont meet the requirements.
 
Thats always been one good thing with the cod series, they run pretty well on a wide variety of systems. Saying that though, i found black ops to be verry buggy. Had to disable sli to get it to run stutter free. Bf3 ive found to be more gpu dependent than bfbc2, bfbc2 was a more hungry cpu game.

BF3 Stats has some numbers but I'm not sure where they get them from or how accurate they are.

Around the time Back to Karkand was released I think it usually peaked at ~100K per platform at a time. Recently thought it's been far less than that.
 
to be honest if matts lot got dedicated to bf3 they would beat you hands down goon .

probably not at moment but there are some solid players .
