  • To find ammo when you need it
  • To find health when you need it
  • To find people who request ammo when they need it
  • To find people who request a medic when they need it
  • To find people who request a pickup when they need it
  • To find vehicles when you don't know the map well enough to know when you are near one

Unless I am missing the point?

+1

Mostly for Ammo and Health
Plus also seeing how close your team mates are, the direction they are facing, etc.

I've just banned from a server for Hacking/cheating because I shot someone with a scoped 44 magnum :(

I HATE people that cheat, and I'm a bit narked that some butthurt admin has tarnished my name because I shot him.

It's a common issue i'm afraid

Finally succumbed and purchased close quarters last night. Its pretty good! Played on some German server and didn't really know the maps too well but I quite like the small map thing. 64 players might be too many though.

I did join a German 64 man metro server. Ugh that sucked.

Happened to me last night - did a 180 spin, 1 shot magnum headshot. "You have been banned from this server - reason: Cheating/Hacking"

Posted a separate thread a moment ago and was kindly directed here.

Do you guys on here have a regular server you play on, or even have team games? I'm a bit bored of playing public with strangers. Used to play a load of BF2 back in the day and it was a lot more fun playing with people who you got to know.

GOOD NEWS!!! EA/DICE taken over by pressure

http://www.dsogaming.com/news/succe...le-the-color-grading-effect-in-battlefield-3/

But...

DICE’s software engineer on servers and persistence, Mikael Kalms, revealed that the company will include a console command with which players will be able to disable – completely – Battlefield 3′s color grading. The good news here is that this will not get you banned from the official servers. The bad news is that there is no mention about the third-party tool/mod that already does this particular thing.

Disabling colour gradient is one thing, but what about the tweaking of saturation which the Realmware tool provides. Step in the right direction I suppose.

Got to love the internet. Few few whiners get EA to look to remove colour grading which I guarantee nobody will use as they will all realise it looks better with colour grading. :D
