Just did a random 5vs5 against some guys mouthing off in AnR. 4-0 to us including all capping them on both Bazaar and Seine. They then said if they were concentrating they would cained us. Hmm, maybe not I think.

the landslide wins absolutely ruin this game.

Hope to god dice have done something about it in bf 4.

Taking a long think about it.

I don't think DICE can. The problem as I see it is that battlefield has quite a high skill ceiling. To control recoil, play tactically, learn when to push, when not to push, awareness etc.. is just too much for the average gamer.

The other day I was pushing along a ridge line and wasn't watching my left flank as a team mate was beside me. Some guy appears out of nowhere and shoots me. My team mate carries on blissfully unaware of the gun shots, the blip on the mini map, or that the person behind him has jjust vanished. He just carries on "La La La La La" and sure enough gets shot as well.

THere is no entrance exam to play Battlefield. So every team is going to get numpties on it. As soon as you end up with a team with a squad or two of proficient players. Its game over and the landslide just can't be tipped without half the losing side leaving and replacing them with decent players.

Yes not everybody has the time to get proficient with a game, which is why people like this should be allowed to play. But its the proper balance between these players and the tactical battlefield players that needs to be maintained.

Problem is, you can't tell which a player is by stats alone. A player may be a great team player, help take obvjective and overall contribute to killing the enemy team. But only have a 1.0 KD ratio.

Equally you might get some guy with a 8.0 KD ratio who does **** all for his team because he just has a medic train behind him constantly reviving him while he spawn kills people.

This is why even the community made auto balance plugins can't manage to balance the games either.

Some admins must stack the teams too as in quite a few servers you will often see all the low ranks on one team and high ranks in the other team.

overall they don't. It happens on consoles as well, on the DICE servers that never have any admins and use vanilla rules.

Quite enjoying the AN-94 at the moment. I have been playing with all the guys from the Symthic team and they are AN-94 obsessed. Gotta say, once you get that finger tap down, you blow people away in no time at any range.

Hark ! listen to the converted !

Once you master the fire fate, its lethal at long range. Absolutely zero recoil and you can just devastate people with it.

I really wonder why dice bothered to include shotguns with this game, after messing about with them for a while now they seem almost utterly useless. Its literally like harkening back to the days of BF2 where you could unload a mag on someone point blank only for them to turn and 1 hit kill you. Wading into a room full of enemies you'd expect a shotgun to lay out a beating, and usually it won't. Though you do on occasion get some really weird kills from ranges you would think it would be useless at.

you're doing it wrong !

M16 + M26 mass / dart for Bazaar normal mode!!! Need the medkit too much to rely on team mates on HC and as Frodders said, sometimes they haven't got the slightest clue so need that magic health pack.

Yeah the shotguns are pretty damn good with slugs, I love the M104, utter beast on CQ maps :D

AN 94 is pretty damn good, great for medium and long range but it has a huge weakspot....... up close i.e. slow rate of fire so you will get owned against some one using anything else and has decent aim.

Picked up some guys kit earlier on and he was using the G53 and DAMN! It is really good

Yup, probably nothing they can do aside from the auto balance during a match (which will never happen). Such a shame as I find the game so much more enjoyable when matches are close and evenly matched teams. Although I never encountered this problem as much in bc 2....

100% true about someone who hasn't got great stats but can be extremely helpful towards the team, more so than the ones with a high k/d.

One thing, which not enough people do in this game, is use the MAV! It is extremely useful and can give a huge advantage especially if you're attacking and even more so if the team are working together and taking advantage of the spotting i.e. earlier had a few guys that were trying to push towards a flag but you had tons of enemies camping around the area and they were able to push up due to me spotting all the enemies, before I whipped out the MAV they were just getting raped non stop, not rewarding one bit for yourself but it helps the team massively.

DICE really need to give more points for spotting when using the MAV etc. Same with the SOFLAM......

At least with BF 4, supposedly if you want to rank up quicker etc. you get more points by doing team/squad work stuff than kills.......

But slugs defeats the purpose of taking the shotgun! If ur going to use slugs u may as well take a sniper rifle or high-powered rifle.

Sniper rifles are usually quite poor for CQC.....SKS might be the exception to this though (With a skillful combatant at least)...................

I've been killed loads of time's by skillfull guys with slugs. Usually always a one shot kill and from quite a distance too......(Probably unrealistic compared to reality).....

Roll on BF4...........(Probably get this with another AMD GPU for Free!!!)

But until then its BF3 and Shogun 2 Total War (with blood pack, decapitation, and blood splatting up you monitor, brilliant).............

the TTK from a single slug round is tiny compared to your average assault rifle.

Look at that video from levelcap above where he takes out 4 guys in quick succession. It wouldn't be anywhere near as easy with an M16.

As an example, the M16 has 30 rounds per clip. Assuming your very skilled and have a 25 % accuracy with the M16. That means 1 in every 4 of the bullets you fire hits, so that means roughly 7 of those bullets in that clip will hit, Account for the fact that's overall and we're shooting short range, lets double that and say 14 of your bullets hit. That means you have 14 bullets to kill 4 people. That's an average of 3 bullets each. The M16 does 31 damage per bullet, which means you've done 93 damage - ie not enough for a kill and you need some headshots. Not forgetting the correction factor of the fact we're guessing you'll get double your normal accuracy at short range.

Its possible, but how easy is that 4 man quad feed compared with the spas 12 slugs ? 4 bullets, 4 one hit kills, just point and shoot and insta death ?

I rarely use shot guns but have been on the wrong end of every game I play. If you go against as skilled player with a spas your chances are slim. It is overpowered, normally I dont mind too much but on occasion you get teams that top heavy with spas.

Misses the point though, shotguns are for corridor work spray and pray, I don't want to take a slower rate of firse and actually have to aim the bloody thing! A direct hit with buckshot should do more damage than a little slug! And flechette rounds are utterly useless but still not as bad as the worse-than-useless-kill-urself-but-barely-hurt-enemies-grenade-rounds

Speaking of lag, when playing on American servers in this game you may as well play yakkity sax in the background, its virtually impossible to get behind cover with someone firing at you without getting a "behind cover" death. I thought it was annoying in euro and uk servers, but god damn, in American servers its hilarious. :D

Hardcore + SPAS + flechette = lots of killing.
