Yeah haven't played in around a year so back then the hacking scene was terrible. Hopefully from what you guys have said when I come back this won't be the same.
 
The hacking has never been that bad apart from a couple of weeks when that mass kill hack was about. You find the very rare one even now, but keep in mind there are some people who are masters at this game having played over 1000hrs and competitive play ie ESL etc. I have played for 1500hrs but go on AnR server and get my ass handed to me.

Thanks, re-rolled back to the 314.22 or whatever it was previously stated and it's fixed.
 
Oh no doubt there is. I think there are even certain cheats that just enable you to target 1 guy. My mate Wieweet got targeted for a few rounds a couple of days ago. Paradropping PP-19 one shot kill all round lol.

Me and a guy (heli'ing) earlier got called cheats so many times by this one guy. I don't think he had heard of TV missle. Kept calling hacks in chat. We defo didn't troll him after that.....because sitting 10 meters above the only spawn point on RU side Kharg would be wrong ....hehehehehe

Ran into a guy a while back doing that with the Tunguska, would never shoot the jet down but always shot people out of it. The aimbot couldn't have been more obvious, just watching the Tunguska it was twitching about left and right all over the show. He was up over 90 kills by the end of the round taking out pilots and sniping with the damn thing.

I think not playing regularly is the main issue and my stats are a bit crappier than they should be due to mates playing with an xbox pad (console guys) and getting raped. They always moan that they can't aim as easy as they can on xbox and I tell them to sort it out and use the KB/M, but nope...
They probably account for at least a quarter of total playing time.

Still, some great tips there! I'll have a go at fixing up.

Yup, it is damn hard trying to break some of the common bad habits! :D




Had a few rush matches on some clan server tonight and the defending team were base raping the attackers non stop on bazaar for every base, does my head in that, don't mind people shooting into the base but to shoot us in the back as soon as we spawn, grrrrr! So instead of trying to get to the mcoms, I got out my AEK and magnum and did some cleaning up :p But it didn't matter as they still just kept pushing in...... needless to say in the end we won due to them doing that...... In my eyes, it is just a cheap low skill tactic.

Damn annoying when you are the only one dealing with the LAV/heavy tank too, I don't know why people don't try to do anything about the tank when they are getting raped by it :confused:

Played with the AS VAL for the first time in ages, forgot how amazing it is! Although you really need to go with support class when using that weapon as you will need the ammo pack a lot!

Absolutely love the magnum in this game, such a beast :cool:

Infantry, mines etc. stick out like a sore thumb (especially when infantry are in buildings, lying down by some rubble, in dark shadowed areas etc.), even when they are at the edge of your screen where you aren't concentrating/looking at, you just can't miss them! Without it, I have such a hard time spotting/seeing people etc. :o :p 3D spotting is obviously an alternative but when in the tank (not using 3P view), everything just looks so flat and nothing stands out like it does with the TO.

IR smoke is very handy too but I just try to rely more on breaking the lock via buildings etc. or just taking the damage and then repairing later.

Plus with TO, you can generally spot/see the people locking onto you before they fire.

If I played on conquest and bigger/more open maps, then I would probably use smoke more often due to there being a lot more JAV/SOFLAM users.
 
Talking of hackers I came across one last night on a Nosehair tdm 64. guy was running around with his repair tool out and went 178-18. Came across him a few times and unloaded a mag in his face but hits werent doing anything , the chat box was going crazy but no admins about to do anything as usual. I got the impression only c4 killed him but cant confirm that but he did die 18 times but not from getting shot thats for sure.

ps. improved my best kill streak to 39 from 36 in a 64 man tdm last night too...
 
Weird question...but has anyone got BF3 to run on an HP Microserver running 2008 R2?

I wanted to be able to stream servers using a second account on my microserver so I don't have to turn on my PC but I get the following error when loading the game:

"were sorry an error has occurred this application is unable to run on guest accounts or accounts without sufficient priviledges"

I have tried running as administrator. Not sure if it is because I am running it through Remote Desktop. Won't be home to try it locally until next week.
