I hope they bring back the BF2 style knife too, non of this COD4 herp derp, press button, instant kill crap - which was done purely because of the console gamepads.

Also, please bring back original classes and commander, I'm fed up of the completely retarded system in BC2, makes no sense at all.

Finally, please cut back on the bloom/dust effects, ffs, I want see what I'm shooting at more than 20% of time and not have sunlight and dust trying to bumrape me everywhere I go.

I made the change a few weeks ago to win7, the other OS's just didn't do it for me, had worse performance or riddled with problems so I always went back to XP.

But it was time to try win7 now that it had been out a while and I have to say, aside from some silly default performance settings which should never have been, some counter intuitive controls or bloated methodology, it's actually not bad.

Still wish it didn't treat me like a child from a fresh install, but it stops idiots making mistakes I guess.

I'd be perfectly happy if they released the PC version without the single player campaign, this is the true sequel to BF2 we are talking about here....

1942,Vietnam,BF2,2142.....they didnt need a crummy 'by the numbers' SP campaign mode like BC2.

If the console gimps want/need that , then fine, but dont waste time/resources of the PC version on something the vast majority of PC BF fans neither want or need...even better reduce the price of the PC version by £5 and sell the SP mode via DLC to those that do want it....

Id rather save that £5 and put it towards the inevitable DLC map packs that will come out over the months following the release.

There are magazine scans of the game available on the net elsewhere - including an in-game shot complete with HUD. It looks absolutely stunning.

I have Vista pro on my laptop & must admit I am very impressed by it tbh

So the jump to Win7 is something I'm looking forward to.

Seems a bit of a shame ultimately - BF3 aside, I have no need for Win7, XP still does what I want perfectly well & is nice & stable.

I'll genuinely be sorry to ditch it.

Same! The best demo I ever downloaded!

wow, can't believe its been 6 years.

from the pictures alone, i can tell this game will be played for years to come.!

I am building a Powerful PC with 6950CF or 6990 maybe 590GTX depends on price and performance. I hope this specs can push the fps above 60 at 16:10 with max settings.

Pretty excited about this I must admit. BF2 was and still is the daddy of fps as far as I'm concerned so I'm reply hoping this won't disappoint.

Hope that an upgrade won't be needed but if it is... oh well :D

want. now.

Was playing BF2 (inc PR mod) until last summer - haven't touched it since, but reinstalled it the other day upon news of BF3 and most of my clan (mostly cod players) are up for a bash on this again :) LOVE the super vehicle and super infantry servers.... Sniping on infantry only 64 player Mashtur City ***.

Has anyone thought about the destructable environments in terms of collapsing buildings, are they going to fall to the left/right on just on top of itself. What i'm trying to get at is if the building can fall to the left/right will the rubble and the collapsing uilding kill you if you can't run away quick enough.

I'd imagine that there would also be quite a lot of wall bugs as there is so much involved in Frostbite 2.0!

Its probably making itself sound considerably better than it actually would be in practice, but thats hardly a surprise. It would be sweet though if you could blow out the walls on 1 side of a building and have it collapse that way, chances are it'll be a 'straight down' collapse script though. Depends how good the physics are. Just so long as they don't do a BC2 and make the roof, stairs and interior walls indestrucable...

*remembers when a building collapsed on my head on Heavy Metal and it didn't kill me so i was stuck under it*

lol, unusual that, ive had it happen a few times where ive been killed by a building collapse because i was standing outside it.

Yeah happened to me last night. I was cowering in a building which was under fire from a tank. The building began to make it's screeching collapsing sound so I ran out and stood behind so I was still protected from the tank. But it killed me :(
