I don't understand why they are splitting the community on release day. Any players who don't buy the maps or get them included will be kicked from servers that run all maps. The same thing happened with BF2, most servers didn't bother running the Booster pack maps because lots of players didn't buy them and those that did had their choice of server severely limited.

The developer and publisher aren't interested in keeping a cohesive community - it's not as profitable. They rather split the community via maps as they know it brings in even more money.

It's a business, not a charity. If I could make you pay me £10 to respond to my post, you can bet I'll do it.

It works, I'll probably be tempted to buy the DLC.

Same, I'm happy to pay extra for this. As long as the game lives up to a high percantage of what I would expect then this will be easily worth the cash.

If the best they could come up was that ridiculous 'SPECACT' kit on BC2 its no surprise.

I must be the only one on here where BF2 has completely passed me by. I wish I understood how good these old maps were! I havent got a clue at the minute. I may have to get BF2 and have a quick crack on the MP and see what all the fuss is about.

Oasis on BC2 is an old BF2 map right?

Karkand was a fantastic map. Have a look on youtube for some videos. Not sure how much of an idea you would get for it though.

No more wake island, I'm sick of it. How about Gazala or a project reality map, not that I've played them but they do look good.
