Battlefield 4 Thread ~ Server details in opening post ~

Honestly this is why I play COD usually (not hating) it just goes for the most efficent implementation for basic mechanics and is a far more seamless experience - I'm getting random messages popping up all over the place telling me to do this or do that and none of it makes much sense in the context of what I'm currently doing/I'm to busy to be able to work out what they are actually telling me so I just dismiss them :S

Couldn't agree any more.

That is what I have been saying since bf 3, DICE try to do too much and have everything possible in one game and imo it just doesn't work, it makes it harder for them to balance and more complicated for most of the players, not to mention that most players will usually stick to only one weapon with the usual unlocks or stick to jets, tanks etc. only. That is the main reason why I preferred BC 2 to bf 3 and probably the same reason why many others do as well, it just felt like a simpler game with great balance....

Partly the reason why I try to stick to aftermath and CQ maps only in BF 3 as you don't have as many things/stuff to worry about i.e. a good jet pilot

I think bf 4 would be a heck of a lot more fun/better if they removed the vehicle regen., reduce 3d spotting considerably, take out the ac130 amongst other wee things i.e. thermal/ir vision scope (replace them with night vision goggles for the dark situations/maps)

Scroll further down theres bindings for toggle.

EDIT: Not at my gaming PC and can't remember if theres actually one for toggle aim - theres also some settings in the general bit for holding keys for actions.

I was having real trouble playing last night.

Super laggy whenever there was vehicles on fire.

I was on the latest nVidia drivers and my PC should have NO problem at all.

Urgh.. Will try the Beta drivers tonight

Really impressed so far, yes there are a few textures missing and some explosions do nothing in particular happens but its only the beta and I'm getting 70-79FPS average on CF7970GHZ setup.

Has any-one else noticed how smooth the game feels and looks?
Yes, it's much, much smoother than BF3 for me. I suspect some of the comments come from the beta map being a city with all the spawns close together and not much variation in environment rather than the game being pants. Think of it as BF3 Seine map rather than Caspian boarder.

Full spec in my signature, the game runned smooth on ultra default settings 1920x1080

The FPS and temps are a rough idea of what it was during gameplay, I forgot to tick the box in MSI AB for it to creat a log file...

Ultra
FPS 55-60 the lowest I've seen was 48...
Highest temp was around 73c
Avrage temp roughly 65/6c

Low
FPS 60-89 the lowest I've seen was 59...
Highest temp was around 67c
Avrage temp roughly 63/4c

I'll get a log file from MSI AB today, to compare the temps, usage of the card and temps.

Much more enjoyable than Seine crossing, more things to do angles to take. I used to think Seine was a good map.

Cant wait for the full game it's going to be epic, 10 maps of this quality bring it on!

I find that once I'm on top of the building at C (or any other large structure) I see flickering around ground features (like the windows and stairs at B).

Anyone else?
