Battlefield 4 Thread ~ Server details in opening post ~

Still holding off, judging by this thread the game still sounds very buggy, is it really still that bad?

Same here, I really want it. I did enjoy BF3, but I just resubbed to WoW so I don't feel like I'd get the most out of both of them if I buy this as well. The game just seems too buggy which sucks, because launch when everyone is levelling is the best time to get in on these.

The only issues i get are the sound on Lancang Dam and sometimes on Golmud Railway, and sometimes it crashes if the tower on Shanghai comes down. (Used to be everytime)

Other than that i dont really have much problems with the game, very little lag/banding, good hit reg etc. But i only really play on UK servers and my ingame ping is always about 7-8ms. with the placebo slider on 0%.

I seemed to crash more last night than I have done so far (was only a few times at the start of rounds but oh well). I too get that sound loss on railway and dam....pretty annoying as it varies between no ambient, no footsteps, no vehicles, no gun fire....or some combination. did it before where the only thing i could hear was my own gun :( pretty lame...especially when ya got people shooting at you but missing at first.../completelyoblivious :p

people still crashing on siege...was pretty funny last night, was on with badboy and a group from TFU...pretty much full 64 man server....came down to the enemies having 5 tickets left and someone brought the tower down....went from 64 plays to about 8 on each team xD hahahha! oh we had a chuckle about inferior/shanty pc builds ;)

I had the sound loss on Operation Locker for the first time last night, turned War Tapes off and it went.

I always have weird sound bugs on Golmud Railway (sp?). Sound disappears, then kicks in when I shoot, then goes silent again. Really eerie.

Is War Tapes something in the options?

Played a hole round for 40 minutes odd then crashed when changing map. I did alt tab though and started doing something else. Also, when it crashed, battlelog said I had no connection so something connection wise happened I think

Why don't you like Muzzle breaks? You say to avoid them on every gun, are they really that bad?

Muzzle does have a place. Imo, if you're playing on a map where you don't expect to be shooting very far and the gun has allot of vertical recoil it would help. The downsides of using really aren't that big, you shouldn't be full autoing someone that is beyond , say, 40m anyway.

If the vertical recoil is very bad, to the point you can't control or need an artificial delay to control (when bursting) then the muzzle (or compensator side recoils) would help.

Also, is the little "i" button on each unlock not working for anyone else (in battlelog)? I want to see what each weapon accessory does but the 'i' button doesn't work :(

i sent them a detailed email today on two of the biggest issues with bf games one being netcode and the other jumping !

how hard is it to make a game where you can jump over something? in this game its a lottery it can be a pebble or a wall or sometimes it doesnt even jump at all :p

netcode reg i suggested they play cod 4 on pc which im sure wont go down well but does highlight what it should be like shooting still or on the move or jumping or sniping.

i did say that moh 2010 is the best hitreg game they have made.

Does anyone else get the feeling BF4 was designed for console?
The maps are all very small in comparison to BF3. Playing a game on a map classed as "conquest large" but can't help thinking 64 players is far too many. I now play on 32 player servers, sometimes 48. There isn't a single map designed with classic battlefield gameplay in mind that can support 64 players :(
