Battlefield 4 Thread ~ Server details in opening post ~

Do people not have performance problems with this game? I keep getting jerky movement when turning or running around with only 3 players on a small map. Yet in Battlefield 3 with 64 players on a huge map it's a solid 60fps with fluid turning/running.

No matter what settings I use in Battlefield 4 the fps and movement of the player makes no difference.

I get large cpu spikes like this at times to, happened with sli 670's and my current 780. Doesn't matter wether low or max settings. Bf3. is fine, if anything i find it to play a bit too fast at times.

Yeah, the game also feels magnetic rather than laggy. Even with a ping in the mid 30s. Sometimes it feels like I entered an area full of insane invisible polys. Yet the cards run cooler under BF4 vs BF3. It annoys me, as BF3 is so silky smooth.

I found that unparking my CPU cores made the game feel a lot smoother. Have you tried that?

It just feels better being able to kill someone in a few shots in HC, as opposed to shooting someone six or seven times and them being absolutely fine, as in normal mode, it was annoying me.

25 damage with AR's up to (8m?).

HC - 3 bullets to body, 2 headshots to kill.
Normal - 4 to body, 2 headshots to kill.

But yeah....

[rant] More like one bullet am I right? olololol. Oh no, DICE fixed the OHK and trade bugs, pahaha get real. #DICE'd. Biggest trolls EU. [/rant].

Instead of unparking cores (placebo) just use "High Performance" in power options so they don't get parked :/

I think we all need to download more RAM tbh

Is there any need for arrogance?

The big problem with the "high performance" plan is that some of the CPU power-saving features are disabled. From personal experience, when I unparked the cores, Battlefield 4 felt a lot smoother. I especially noticed this when panning left <--> right with the mouse.

So now I have a better gaming experience (placebo or not), and whilst not gaming, I am not wasting electricity.

Premium Event™ happened last night where we couldn't connect....so premium™

I was shooting him for ages, it must have taken over 15 rounds to drop him, compared with 1-3 shots on HC it feels more satisfying for me.

Bad news dude, you missed. Only time not to tap fire in BF4 is under 5mtrs and even then I do still tbh

advice = arrogance gg, use logic much bro?............1. You don't want those features when playing on MP, 2. You are unparking your cores and using more power by disabling power saving features such as core parking in balanced / power saver therefore making it less efficient. When you use HP for gaming and then switch back to B / PS you get the best of both worlds.

8 isn't enough? You miss the point though.

I think BF4 is terribly buggy. If BF3 runs fluid with power saving features on with solid fps, with 64 players on an open map/field full of vehicles, players, explosions, debris with choppers and planes. Then there is something wrong with BF4 if it's struggling on a small map with 3 players running about doing nothing, except running. Especially the fact turning settings to low makes no difference.

um, DL more RAM is the oldest joke in the PC book, people took that seriously, lucky I didn't say hit Alt F4 for free XP /facepalm

We all know BF4 is very buggy, I know more than most as I have a list if game breaking glitches that 99% of people (thankfully) don't know. Symthic reports all glitches to DICE (and we have a guy who emails DICE developers directly with game breaking gltiches).
