Bayonetta

So it looks like i'm the only one that loves the soundtrack? Suits the mood of the game perfectly imo.

I'm really struggling with one of the challenges; the one where you have to do 7 torture attacks before time runs out. Mega difficult for me D:

Normally this type of music doesn't fit well anywhere except Anime type games?
Albeit this game is japanese anime-ish however they usually use the typical organ, metal soundtrack etc.
The soundtrack fit this game perfectly I wish they atleast switched soundtrack on the same level instead of looping the same over and over again.

I struggled with that portal too..

I found that by just shooting the first 3 guys till my magic went up.. then torturing the weakest one.. then repeating till u get 2 attacks on the first round.

Then... its all about witch time...

Pick on the guys with the ball and chain... get that then aim for the big angels with that.. it makes your magic replenish VERY quickly.

I ended up doing 7 attacks over 6 lol... it is hard but you will get it :)

Thanks for the tips but it ended up with me realizing that portals were affected by the difficulty setting and i was playing in hard :p. Whacked the difficulty down to Normal and completed it on my second go.

(mod please delete if not appropriate - not sure where competitor rules stand anymore).

Is this still worth getting on PS3? Got into GOW Collection after having my fingers burnt by the poor Dantes Inferno demo and Im really enjoying it...

This is meant to be better than GOW no?

Better than GOW? Er not at all, combat maybe better but as a game no where near, then again its more DMC than GOW. Its worth getting as its fun game and is very OTT, some of the special stages you do have a great retro feel (you'll understand why). Its one of the nest games ive played so far, above ME2, but i like the style of this game, can get pretty hard though.

Sorry that came out wrong - perhaps this is the next evolution of this 'gametype'. Why Im 50/50 Im enjoying GOW1 a lot, and did enjoy Ninja Gaiden (but that did get more repetitive than GOW) but hated Dantes Inferno. Got plenty of games to play but thought it might be worth picking up for the price...

Not played DMC other than a PS3 demo - did get quite bored (like DI) - perhaps this is a miss for me

For me, easily.

Finishing Bayonetta on normal is basically the tutorial. Depth wise it slays GoW, which has always been more about the spectacle than mastering a combat system.

Like i said Bayonetta combat is better than GOWs, but i enjoy GOW as a game much more. The story and characters are better in GOW, I enjoy the puzzle element more, the boss fights seem more interesting, better platforming, bigger scale etc etc. Then again as i said Bayonetta is more DMC than GOW, so i dont see how it should be compared, GOW isnt the same type of action game its quite a different with only Heavenly Sword and Dantes Inferno like it, where as you could say that Bayonetta is more in the DMC, Ninja Gaiden camp.

Just got this, didn't know anything about it really apart from getting good reviews?

Put it in, it is certainly aim for the teenage boys alright, the leggy big rack main character is the perfect choice, add in the sexy glasses and guns and the fact that she actually gets more naked the better combos you string together give you extra incentive to play ! Before I know it i am at level 3 or something and 2 hours in !!!!

Not bad, not bad at all for £18.

Hmmm not a fan of this one to be honest, picked it up as it was cheap and a lot of people were raving about it, but it's not my bag really.

Teaches me to buy before trying, but I doubt ill keep hold of it for too long.
