'BBC considering ditching Legard'

Well Legard has to go, so that is really great news. Ben Edwards would be awesome. Crofty would be great. James Allen would be acceptable. No idea who cox is.
 
"the popular laggard" were did they get that from. More lime the annoyingly repetitive shouty **** who interupts everyone to spout crap.

Please bring back James Allen.
 
Haha so the hated Legard is likely to be replaced with the almost as equally hated Charlie Cox or James 'Fathead' Allen. Be careful what you wish for guys!
 
BTW I personally don't have a problem with any of them. Leggard is ok but it is noticable that there is no real rapport with Brundle during their commentary. That and his stock phrases 'On a charge.... frustration for xyz....' etc do get a little tiresome.

I never really had a problem with Allen to be honest and could never see where all the hatred came from. Fair enough he fawned all over Lewis but then MW fawned all over Damon Hill and MW is still revered.

I'd be sad to see Cox get the gig and leave the MotoGP coverage as I do enjoy his commentary with Parrish; unlike Brundle and Leggard they do have a good commentary-box rapport which comes across well.

You've obviously never heard Brundle complaining that he hates the grid-walk as he dislikes pushing in front of everyone. Remember he's on live TV and is contrated to get that job done. Heck, even on Sunday's grid-walk he said 'you have no idea how much I hate doing this'.

Also, they commentators are often fielding criticism for missing things that are - to the viewer at home - seemingly obvious. Remember that they're not just looking at the TV feed, they've got the timing screens to look at, as well as everything else that comes with a live TV broadcast.

Really hate leggards commentary. "hes on a charge" wtf is the driver a mobile phone, a tooth brush? You can tell that Brundle has given up on correcting mistakes and must cringe every race. Still you got to thank the bbc for the coverage pre and post race which is second to none. Ive watched some races on spanish tv channels and there are around 6
5min long commercial breaks through the actual race. If alonso doesn't win they don't even bother with the press confrence.

Couldn't disagree more, personally. What Brundle needs is someone who'll mostly shut up and let him talk. The worst thing about Legard is that he keeps blabbing on when he should shut up and let Brundle say something worth listening to instead.
 
Hate Legard so much. Often have to watch the race back on sky plus as I play football on Sundays, and I despise having to do so due to Legard's rubbish commentating.

So much prefer watching FP, Quali and Race with the 5 live team. Even though their commentary is meant for radio! Hope Brundle gets someone better to work with next year.
 
Good riddance to stuart hall is all I can say, I've not been able to shake that since he started commentating on the bbc, reminds me every time of Its a Knockout..

Give brundle a partner that he can work with, and all will be well. The 5live team works well, because their styles compliment each other, James Allen did that for brundle, but was a little too exciteable, shame he's still stuck at itv though.

Either way, get rid of *******, I mean Leggard, and replace him with a floor mop.
 
I would be stunned if the BBC replaced Brundle along with Legard (referring to some posts above when I say this), given that he is one of the most highly regarded critics in the sport and has been for years.
 
I must be just about the only person here who doesn't mind Legard. Please please please don't bring Fathead back. Fathead knows the sport inside out but is a useless commentator.

I'll take say what you see over "Go! Go! Go" every time.
