BBC vs Lineker

Citation required that he called the incumbent government Nazis.

Aaaaaanyway...obligatory banter content ;)

To be fair, it probably is more on the implication side but it’s a fine line.

Anyway, I’ll stop disrupting the banter. Surprised there isn’t a speaker’s corner thread TBH.

Edit - it’s in the illegal immigration thread.

They don't have a problem with Alan Sugar airing his political views. Isn't he also employed by the BBC. He's covered all bases, racist tweets, sexist and political. Yet how often have they suspended him for his views?

I don't like the Home Secretary. She ran for the Tory leadership with the plan to ...
"solve the problem of boats crossing the Channel", withdraw the UK from the European Convention of Human Rights and to "get rid of all of this woke rubbish". She also vowed to suspend the UK's target of net zero carbon emissions by 2050.

She didn't need to say a word about Linekers comments and could have left it to the BBC to sort out internally.

Hah I can see what you mean but it's more true to life like you are there. No commentary at the ground. But, I could still do without the talk in the studio post game, but still have the commentary over the match. I agree.

I've always enjoyed the studio chat on MOTD. Far more interesting than the drivel on Sky or BT IMO.
