Now think about all the less sensational attacks across Europe that the establishment successfully bury as random violence or mental illness. What we see is the tip of the iceberg.
I'm pretty sure fascism never really died in this country.

In fact right wing terror plots are now a major threat to the country according to the mi5.
Where are all the attacks? Where are the bodies? Where are the court cases?

It's a counter narrative. A distraction from the giant, undeniable, Islamic elephant in the room. But hey, it's a small price to pay for all the benefits mass, unchecked immigration brings, like err....um....ya know....err...

We need extreme vetting like Trump said or else you will get more things like this happening again in the future.

I'm sure the opinion in many communities was that whilst this is terrible, he was asking for it and shouldn't offend people's beliefs.

I think the sad issue is that most Muslims are more loyal to their religion than they are patriotic.

Therefore a Muslim in the uk will refer to shariah law, show support for Pakistan, refuse to denounce these kind of acts as they covertly support them and would protest such catoons, despite moving to the UK knowing about freedom from religious oppression and freedom of speech.
Said by someone who has obviously never interacted with a Muslim family living in the UK

You're an absolute state, mate.

Tell me how Muslim women can ever mix and integrate when they are barely allowed to interact with anyone outside of their family/household?

You make a good point. I respect Muslims have their own traditions and culture that they live by. I have a close Muslim friend that I've grown up with. So I understand that part of his Muslim identity is to live a certain way.

But when an extremist comes in it can be very difficult for the community to counter it, especially in this case as it sounds like this guy came from Chechnya which promotes a very hardline version of Islam, so the average French Muslim would be out of their depths to deal with.

It would be like a Catholic moving from the Vatican to France arguing with a local French Catholic. The people who are more focused on the theology of their religion can be very difficult to dissuade.

In my view I blame as much the government for allowing people to come in to the country relatively unchecked and not having a thought of how certain peoples religious ideologies will impact the current French situation.

Ban a religion? What?

I'd personally get rid of all religion, but that's a completely different argument to what's going on here.

I think a lot of people are needing to look at the bigger picture here. Stuff like mental health, poor education and lack of future prospects leads on to the creation of these 0.1% nut jobs that end up characterizing the 99.9% for some people.

Part of the problem is at the individual level but it sounds like he was egged on by the greater community. Thats the real challenge. There will always be nutjobs but how do you instill a greater sense of tolerance and understanding in a whole community?

And that's the issue it's individuals that commit the acts but they have mass support.
Look at any survey in their attitudes to homosexuality, other religions, blasphemy. It's horrendous.

Big LOL at non-Muslims still talking about moderate and extreme versions of Islam. There are no versions of Islam and their holy book is the actual word of God as relayed to His Prophet. Interpretation of said book is heresy.

It goes something like:

Acting on it

Saying it
|--------------|

Thinking it

One murderer?

You do know that certain regions are at war with the west and have been committing mass murders since and before 9/11?

People move here for cultural freedoms and then murder those exercising those freedoms.

As far as I know France is not at war. And no they don't. You are talking about a tiny minority. There are more murders of English by English than there are murders of English by terrorists. Just the terrorists hit the front page.

The teacher is hero - I think the penny has dropped in terms accommodating these ideas.

Many interoperations of Islam are incompatible with Western Democracies - we should be honest, and hold the same standards across all demographics. People can then decide whether the country is the best place for them to make a life?

For instance Halal/Kosher abattoirs should be forced to butcher animals according current best practice - regardless what ancient texts say.

Not sure, they seem friendly enough

Great culture i hear.

That's great, but what does Pakistan and Pakistani migrants have to do with a Chechen Muslim killing a teacher in France? I should add that whilst I do think there are problems within the Pakistani community not all Muslims are Pakistani and not all Pakistanis are Muslim, but people do conflate the two for their own agenda.
