He left th garage to join the live track and made and started in position on his own, he couldn't make it back to the garage on his own.

I guess we'll find out, grey area in the rules? Last time I remember something like this, it was the era of spare cars and they were allowed to swap chassis if the race got a full restart. If it wasn't a full restart then chassis swap wasn't allowed.

This guy gets it!!
The aero spray from F1 cars is on another level altogether, not to mention how wide they are in comparison to the track limiting alternative lines.
Even the bikes have it better than that.
Also worth remembering that the spray we're seeing is at safety car speeds, not even them trying to put in competitive laps.

Deffo grey, technically its a straight no, depends on the technical defination of race start. Really you car is out of the main mechanics hands once it leaves the garage under its own steam.

Schumacher was in his early twenties when he raced that race in Suzuka. I swear I was born in the wrong generation.

The cars have a lot more rake than they used to so Aquaplaning must be less. Cars have a lot better tyres and technology is on a different level. Rally drivers drive in far more riskier conditions at silly speeds.

Rake has zero influence on aquaplaning.

Aquaplaning is purely a build up of water between tyres and tarmac, whereby tyres do not actually touch the tarmac any more.

When do rally cars ever follow each other nose to tail, round the course??

Do you know what aquaplaing is? Lol, it's physics brmetween tyre and water, nothing to do with car setup. Way more money lost for the smaller teams if things go sideways. 20 of the best drivers found in the world. Random people ona forum know better than them watching on TV lmao.

I do know what Aquaplaning is. Aquaplaning with a flat floor racing car is like being on a boat with a hydrofoil. The cars now have a lot more rake so have less chance of Aquaplaning compared to a car in the 90's with its floor kissing the tarmac.

I seem to recall the teams sometimes having the t-car with a different setup if the weather was changable. Do a warm up/shakedown lap with a low downforce setup, decide the setup is wrong, come into the pits and leap into the t-car which was setup for wet weather.

I know Schumacher did it at least once.

That's not at all what aquaplaning is lol.

Floor is never lower than the tyres.

So again it has zero influence on aquaplaning

You sir are a noob.

Aqua planing can be many things. Not just tyres.
They are not at all talking about the actual floor of the car hitting water lol. They are talking about the saturation the tyre and its inability to drive the water off it leaving rubber to make contact with the tarmac lol.
LOL, even your own link clearly shows this lol, no car setup will effect aqua planing or not, road cars lorrys and tractors can all aquaplain.
Also, under skimming water at formation safety car speeds with no load pressing the car down lol?
