Belgium Grand Prix 2013, Spa-Francorchamps - Race 11/19

I can't remember the last time they utterly ******* up in the pits for instance.

Not with Vettel at least. ;)

It's hard to say with Alonso, because the last few years he's had 'a dog of a car' but Hamilton has gone through a season of complete meltdown where he ruined his own chances and then last year where he had arguably the best package and the team let him down.

Although Vettel has had a few blips (the crash with Webber, folding under pressure to Button in Canada, the alternator issues) the team, the car and himself as a driver have all been incredibly consistent.

Maybe it's just me, but when Vettel is out in front it feels "inevitable", or boring.

When Hamilton is out in front, it feels uncertain. Almost like you expect the car to go boom, or something to happen that will screw him over (even self-inflicted).

This is part of my point. In 5 years the two most successful teams in F1 have't been able to get their act together to beat RBR.

So are we right to slate Vettel and just say its all down to the car? Or should they be applauded for not making all the mistakes their rivals have? Is it time to turn the focus away from RBR and onto the vast field of World Champion drivers and teams behind them and ask why they aren't able to keep up?

Rather than wish RBR/Vettel were worse, wish everyone else was better?

 How did you manage that?!

I know somebody, I think we won the award for most scruffy and only people who camped in the pitlane :D thats not the best shot but I've not had a chance to look through and get the others sorted yet.

I thought that had been explained? There was a banner hanging from the top of the main stand for the whole race and some stupid ^%^&^%$$£$$% tried to climb down to the podium...the cheers were when the security were dealing with them.

On a serious note, someone did manage to secretly get 2 remotely activated devices onto the podium of an F1 race and activate them live on international TV...

Loved this moment

I think those two are getting on quite well – the 'finger' after quali then the flirting before the podium.

Alonso always seems miserable in the waiting room.
