Can anyone take a picture of the monitor displaying a black background in an unlit room with no flash please?

Thanks.

I have asked nicely for a picture of the screen displaying a black background in an unlit room with no flash twice now, so I can only conclude that all these screens bleed badly :o

Too bad, was going to buy once whilst the this week only offer is on.

I don't notice any on mine in normal use. It's nothing to worry about really. :)

maxdata are giving me a full refund.
told me this was a rare case and normally they don't do this. This was a last resort as I have had 4 previous monitors they felt they did not want to mess me around.

faxing them my original invoice over on monday.

£351 comming back :D

Hey Guys,

Has anyone who owns a Belinea 102035W owned or seen a dell 2005fpw in person?? if so what one do you feel is better.

Also what one suffers from backlight bleeding most???

Thanks

I dont own either, but its very common knowledge the Belenia is much better than the 2005fpw, I will leave the experts explain.

I own the Belinea, but i did consider the Dell at the time i purchased it. The panel in the Belinea is a newer panel and generally thought to be much better than the one in the Dell. The Dell probably has slightly better build quality, and my opinion looks a little better, but that is very subjective. Both suffer from backlight bleeding to an extent, the Dell probably more so. The Belinea is a bit of a bargain though, for a fair bit less money than the Dell you are getting on balance a better screen.

I have now taken the plunge and ordered one of these, hopefully should get it by Tuesday. Guys is there anything i need to purchase for this monitor??

I remember some people saying it doesnt come with a DVI cable??? How much are these???

Thanks

Couldnt find one on overclockers :(

Quick question (that knowing my luck has already been answered); it has DVI and Analogue in, I want to connect my Xbox 360 to the analogue in and my PC to the DVI-in, if I have both machines on at once ... what happens? Is there some way of switching between the two or does it flip over to whatever was switched on last?

They cost around £15+. Just google DVI Cable Uk Retailers or something. Only thing you should remember is that the tft stand is extremely stiff. First attach the stand base to the tft and then tilt it into position, don't try and push the stand by hand because it's way too stiff and I actually thought it was attached wrongly at first.

Cuchulain - you can switch between DVI/VGA inputs from the OSD. I'm planning to do that once I get a chance to obtain a dvi cable for the pc.

Thanks Kainz!! Appreciate the advise mate..

I'm just hoping i dont get any dead pixels, or severe backlight bleeding.

Sorry but do i need a dual link or single link one???

Excellent, thanks muchly.

I got the monitor yesterday. I found it sharp and bright and have to say that I love the widescreen form! However I found the backlight bleeding unacceptable (I am using the DVI connection). Its not noticeable at all when surfing or typing but it can get annoying when watching a movie; dark backgrounds are not displayed propely... I will be calling belinea tomorrow to arrange for an exchange... Its a shame for the backlight bleeding as there is no real choice for a good 19-20" widescreen monitor. The pics look more or less the same with the ones that wunkley posted first. I dont think the replacement can be worse that this:

fingers crossed, but if the replacement is no good I will ask for a refund and wait for the new viewsonic 20"...

i would ask for a refund now mate, under the DS act, this way ocuk cant mess you around.

I asked ocuk for a duplicate receipt so i could pass this onto maxdata. Ocuk did not send me the duplicate even tho they said they did, I had to find my original and fax this onto maxdata, I have had 4 of these monitors and all have had backlight bleedin comming from the corners.

Im thinking of going for the F-20 Acer Ferrari Monitor now. Want a bit of style ;)
