smsmasters said:melchy, what brightness/colour level settings is yours set at? Are you using any ICM profiles?
melchy said:No i mean with black borders. Mine stretches images because im using VGA at the moment. Im sure if you look back through the thread, theres pictures of it running a 4:3 image with borders.
*edit* Look at the reply from LabR@t above with all the links to piccies in. Some of the show what you are looking for.
wintereverlong said:although I'm not sgoaty , I thought I would reply to this anyway, to be honest, I would get a replacement. The bleeding is actually quite bad, the hassle will be worth it if you get a better replacement. That leakage would drive me nuts, I just dont think I could turn all the lights out and watch a dvd or play games like FEAR or Thief and not be distracted by it. You've shelled out over £300, you deserve better!!
scousegit said:maxdata are now aware of this thread on this forum, spoken to them twice today with regard to my monitor, seems they want to get this sorted for me as quickly as possible.
I informed them that this issue with backlight leakage was becomming more common with people, and they asked me how i came to this conclusion. I informed them that i found out by looking on here, and the chap went on here to look while i was on the phone.
So hopefully they know there is some kind of flaw or there has been a bad batch of these monitors that has been made.
They have offered to swap out the monitor again, but i have told them im not prepared to have another one unless its tested.
Will keep people informed on my progress with maxdata.

scousegit said:citylink are crap, they never attempted to deliver my monitor today, all day the tracking status says currently on van. Phoned them up and they lie about "ye it will be with you before 5:30pm" liars!
Would i be able to get a credit back on the carriage from overclockers?
as i paid for nextday and it never came next day.. overclockers could claim the fee back off citylink for failure of delivery nextday do you think?

LabR@t said:turn down on screen or in nvidia/ati settings?
Si Lad said:Out the box the brightness is 100 which is way too bright imo. I have turned it down to 30 as suggested in another thread. Now i dont get any bleed through.
Looking at this screen now I think i can turn it down some more.
Digital vibrance I also turned up a little and it made it look a whole lot better.
