Belinea 102035W

:D Yeah I need all the excuses I can get, you know I need my cpu upgrading too - maybe I'll start to hear it making strange noises :P

I use 1680x1050, however even at the same resolution as my CRT (1024x768), the problem persists, and as I said, if the monitor has no input whatsoever, and flashes the 'no input' box thingy, it has these pesky lines all over it.

It is obvious that your monitor is faulty. No doubt about that. Send it back for repairing. Most likely they'll just send you a new monitor.

£30 is far too expensive for a DVI cable, I bought mine from a competitor for £6 + £1.99 shipping.

Got one of these today. I'm having a little bit of trouble configuring it and getting the colours right, has anyone got any tips?
The screen has a grainy look to it, is that normal?
I had really bad ghosting when i was playing HL2 but i could have sworn that there was none when i started it. So i turned off and went back after a couple of hours and there was none (or at least none discernible). I went to the same bit as i was at before and tried it out on what had been ghosting the worst (med panel) and it was perfect. I'm slightly concerned that this means there's something wrong with the screen. Anyone else suffered this?

I got a replacement through the maxdata warranty service this week. The guy on the phone had told me it would be with me on Tuesday, so I stayed in all day and was annoyed that it didn’t turn up.

The following morning at 8:30 it turned up while I was still in bed and someone else signed for it. I noticed I had a missed call on my phone and rung back to find it was the courier and I told her that it was meant to be a swap - she'd left the new monitor and not taken away the other.

Luckily she was still outside and came back while I packaged up the monitor in a rush, forgetting to stick on the enclosed sticker and enclosing a description of the problem. She did however say it would be sent back – she had the address etc.

The new monitor works perfectly, with no flickery black lines like the old one so I’m happy :) Hope this one lasts a while with no faults, although the three year warranty is extremely generous.

I've noticed a lot of people changing the monitors due to problems like backlight bleed and other problems. I was wondering how good is their customer service?

It sounds great so far but I was wondering do you have to have more than just bad backlight bleed for them to swap your monitor? Also, how many dead/stuck pixels are you allowed before it can be changed?

I think it was said elsewhere that Belinea will replace any monitor with 4 faults of any kind eg. stuck pixels, dead pixels.

hi, I just bought a belinea (after reading this 16page, world famous post ;) ) and I'm not happy with the bleeding... I'd like anyone who's in a helping mood to take a look at these pictures I took and tell if I should return it... Is this bleeding 'normal' or too much? I have seen other black screen pics but i'd still like your opinion :(

I'm using DVI connection, brightness=0, contrast=80 (my preferred setting). I have the monitor's drivers installed and reinstalled the graphics card drivers.

these were taken at the same moment, no flash, just variating the exposure in a dark room... as the results are very different I included several:

http://amorim.planetaclix.pt/DSC01343_resize.JPG
http://amorim.planetaclix.pt/DSC01346_resize.JPG
http://amorim.planetaclix.pt/DSC01347_resize.JPG
http://amorim.planetaclix.pt/DSC01349_resize.JPG

this seem to me the most realistic one:

I also have 1 dead (red) pixel in a corner but it doesn't really bother me (and they wouldn't accept it back just because of one dead pixel i guess...)

thanks for any feedback

Your backlight bleeding shows far less than mine :( But it seems pretty much all of them suffer from it to some degree so you're probably better off putting up with it as long as you can and then contact maxdata for a replacement when hopefully they've got the problem sorted.

That does look rather bad to me, but this monitor does seem to be rather subject to it

As for your sub pixel, they are very unlikely to take it back. As it's stuck on a single colour, it could be brought back to life by massaging it gently or playing fast paced video

I'd say your levels are pretty similar to mine. I actually think that its fairly livable with. Although im starting to wonder whether the Philips screen may have been a better bet.

Does DVi make a big difference on this screen, as im thinking of picking up a DVi cable (if i can find one cheapish) on the way home.

i think mine's a bit worse than yours, but with all of the bloo coming from my case on the one side, and the red from the lava lamp on the other, i'm not really bothered. just got FEAR yesterday, and it looks awesome on the 102035!

Hi people!
I got mine on sunday! and its a truely top draw monitor....!! theres no ghosting what so ever that i saw on FarCry, Fear, Half Life 2, NFSMW.... and Pro Evo 5 looks class.... the picture quality is so crisp and bright!
There is a slight bit of backlight bleeding like a few other people have mentioned but its not as bad as some people make out, its hardly noticeable!
