Benefit Cheats (ADHD)

Plus - no combination of low, middle or higher rate

Middle or higher rate of the care component of DLA means someone can claim Carer's Allowance for them. This would be deducted from their IS, but they would be entitled to the carer's premium. No idea what that is nowadays, but the figure seems approximately about right.

If it's any comfort the total % of benefits lost to fraud is around a percent.

I would actually consider having kids now, I'm 23, but know that I'm not going to be able to afford it for years at least.

I'm 32 and I don't know how me and the wife could have a kid while being fiscally responsible. I honestly don't know how people who just have them and **** the consequences can do it :X

Yeah, but ADHD is lower rate DLA only. It's basically just to cover transport costs to and from Doctors etc. The child could be getting med or higher rate DLA, but it wont be due to the ADHD - it'll be something else (autism etc).

Amazing isn't it!

Oh just to clarify the same person has the typical full Sky HD package, the latest iPhone and a iPad 3G.

You've already been told that you're being lied to.

So what if they have the "latest iPhone" and "typical full Sky HD package".

You shouldn't get angry and rant about things based on rumours you've heard from other people.

As you get older, you learn to forget these injustices and try to simply focus on your own life. If you don't, you just become angrier and grumpier until you realise that you actually like The Daily Mail.

Best post in this thread tbh. Got more problems and things I want to get on with in my own life to care anymore.

Ahh yes, that wholly reliable 1% figure that is put on something that by it's definition is immeasurable by the department who have a vested interested in reporting a low figure.

   :o

Propose me some alternate figure then?

Fiscally responsible...meaning you dont want to give up your freedom, holidays and gadget money, right?

Freedom? Holidays? Gadgets? Money? I don't know what these words mean \o/

Yea you bust you nuts all your life until you have your nice house paid off aged 60 and then realise you will soon need someone to wipe your butt clean and baby sit you all day in your old age. Will you then sell your home you worked for all your life and fund your own care therefor working most of your life to fund your old age or will you pass it on to your kids avoiding care costs and let the taxpayer foot the bill?

You would be suprised how many people are planning on letting others fund them in thier old age.Is that worse than what this woman is doing? You just made her a scapegoat when in reality anything she gets is going to be capped anyways. You really think she will get all her old benefits and an extra £280 per month???

These threads are literally pointless as benefits are paid to everyone in some shape or form weither that be a business or bank or a single mother.Boris johnson still does not know what to do with 111m and is holding off so he can decide which private firm deserves the money.

Private firms on benefits wheres my pitchfork?

My OH has just given up work as she has had a few problems the past year and it has made her a bit sensitive shall we say. She finished Monday, and has been looking at what support we can get while she has a few months rest to get back to normal hopefully. Unfortunately it seems we cannot get any sort of financial assistance due to my wage being too high. In all honestly we are going to end every month about -£200 on breaking even. Sort of sucks, but we shall just get on with it. Better for her to be sane than have cash.

:(

You dont have to earn much to find you get nothing at all no matter how ill you are.Sadly you would both probably be better off or not far behind if you both pretended to be sick which is just wrong.

She could be disabled seriously and still not be entitled to one single penny and would have to rely solely on you for everything.I cannot imagine how bad it would be for someone to have to run for pocketmoney to another adult.Even worse if it was a disabled man who formally was active and had most of the control in the house.

you can't expect to pay into the system for years and then get something out when you need it, there are far more deserving cases that have never paid a penny into the system in their lives

It's all those broken 42" LCD TV's they have to keep replacing

Why does everyone get bent out of shape about what tvs benefit claimers have? Omg they don't have a 12 year old 25" CRT TV, look at the life of luxury they must live!!

When in reality a 42" flat screen is a pretty average sized tv available for under £300.

Why should they have enough money to spend £300 on luxuries when some people who work cant?

If more people kicked off about it maybe somthing would be done about it.

People on benefits should get vouchers for shopping ect and if they dont like it they know where the job centre is.

Whose to say they didn't buy it before benefits or as a birthday/xmas present?
