BenQ XL2730Z Freesync Owners Thread

It still doesn't single strobe at 60hz and doesn't strobe correctly at 100hz (100hz strobes at 120hz pulses, causing stuttering). I don't know why benq didn't fix this in the new firmware!

I tired that leaked drivers freesync don`t show up in drivers and when i run the freesync demo it says my montior is not compatible montior .
I have Benq btw.

I know this is a big issue for you but what impact does this actually have for most non-competative FPS players?

Has this monitor been the success we thought it was going to be ?

Well for me it has ,, apart from the firmware update which im having done this very minute ( with free shipping and return ) , the screen for has been perfect, and the picture quality and colours for a TN are the best ive ever seen , the stand is very well made and adjustments are easy and fluid, the software and the s-switch are top notch ,

Its killed me having to go back to my 32 inch LG lcd tv '60hz until i get it back,
and the picture quality of the BenQ is far better.

I received my monitor in the post just yesterday and immediately after powering on the screen after having the V002 firmware update, holy ****balls .... AMA set "HIGH" is very nice and obviously the way the screen was intended to be used!

I'm pretty sure when I was hooked up using displayport cable from 290X to the BenQ it never let me use AMA previously whether I was using FS or not.

the 144hz smoothness and overall image clarity is just nuts ....

Currently using asders 15.200.1040.0 MOD driver with FreeSync enabled CrossFireX & it is working flawlessly!!!

I was concerned when I read about users having problems with FS-CFX but the drivers are obviously beta/unreleased so results may vary.

cant stress it enough .. it is so very very nice ... I am impressed!! hats off to AMD & BenQ :D

How many days it took to send it back? Did they deliver it on Sunday?

Asking because I believe they received my monitor today, since it was collected on Friday.

Jason, you forgot to mention the headphones bracket, and the controller :D

That bracket is the greatest feature ever, perfect for not having the G35s taking space on the desk. :)

For the rest spot on. This TN panel, puts to shame the IPS ones.

So I take it you'd recommend getting the monitor sent back for the upgrade then :)

How did you kick the process off, just via the BenQ website? Could they pick it up at the weekend as it will be a right pain if I have to take a day off work to wait in for the collection?

Indeed it bit of a pain if you wait for collection at work. Especially when you finish at 15:30 and DPD schedules collection at 20:00 due to a mistake.
Had to work from home the next day to make sure that I do not have to stay at work weird hours...

Did you after pay to get it sent to BenQ? also how was tracking information coming back to you?

Paid nothing.
According to BenQ is under warranty, and ofc they asked me to provide them with the OCUK invoice to prove that bought it in this country.

The DPD provided me with a receipt.

I asked Flanos about it, since he said he got it back

Mine was received by the service company yesterday, and was collected on Friday. (so is next day delivery)

I will keep you updated when I receive it back and how much time it took to sort it out.

I initially didn't reply because I had my BenQ sent away and sent back within Australia.

I had it picked up from my home on Tuesday 9th June and early morning Monday 15th June it came back!! it went to the next state via ROAD and I thought it was going to take much longer!

I literally had just e-mailed an hour or so earlier to ask if they had even received the screen!! really good BenQ support I think!

Didn't have to pay for shipping at all.

Ace.

Well it'll be a bit of a pain but I suppose it's worth it in the long run to get the monitor running as best it can. I expect to be keeping hold of it for quite a while yet.
