BenQ XL2730Z Freesync Owners Thread

Whats the best Freesync settings to use, is it best to have v-sync off ingame, Freesync enabled in the CCC ?

EDIT: Read its best as v-sync on/Freesync On.

I have mine set to V-Sync On and FreeSync On so if I manage to exceed 144fps (normally only in menus) it caps it there and when actually playing it uses Freesync.

I can't tell if its working, i have v-sync on ingame, and Freesync on in the CCC, monitor information menu says Freesync is on, but thats locked on, and no way to change it, is that right ?

Guys turn off VSYNC is counter productive and useless with Freesync ON.

It creates more issues than it resolves.

I hate vsync so I stick with freesync on and vsync off but cap my frame rate at 140fps that way I'll never go over the refresh rate and never get screen tear and also keep input lag to zero :D

It definitely works, just tried Fear, forgot with v-sync off in game, that will do well over 144fps, so it was tearing like **** still :p, so i quit it, and in the RTSS, i whacked a 140fps cap, and got no tearing at all back in the game, its bloody great :D

Yeah and now you also dont get the draw backs from Vsync! :D just smooth gameplay.

Does FreeSync work with Crossfire yet? If not I doubt I'll be using it.

The guru3d driver yes, but officially not yet :(
I just use the 1 core, and the majority of the games I play do not support CF either :/

As for VSYNC OFF, is only to be used if you manage to pull more than 144fps.
If you do, then raise the game settings, dont play on medium :P
