Tim Cahill plays up front? Unless you mean... you can't mean the other one? Surely?

Also, the Liverpool pairing are really handy but that's not the end they've struggled with, its the racist and the barbarian up the other end doing naff al :p

Yeah apparently there is another Cahill, I heard he even plays for England now.. Crazy I know.

Kaboul not even on the list yet
Coloccini
Skrtel
Agger
Gary Cahill
^ they are? Crime.

Also no Ledley King? :P

/biased.

Got to love Ledley King, He used to be quality for the one in every 10 games he played but I think playing so little football, age and the ridiculous amounts of injuries he has had has finally got to him, if Spurs found a decent CB who could play more than once a month(Yes that also applies to Dawson) they could be a very good team.

What about Ashley Williams from Swansea? The entire Swansea defence looked very secure every time I saw them and he played a key role in that.

This statement in itself is partial enough. United fans at least will never be impartial when it comes to anything to do with Liverpool. Saying some fans are more partial when talking about their teams than others is totally dwaft. How can you be a die hard supporter of a team without taking sides(or call it being impartial)

You've taken that post a lot more seriously than it was meant. :)

.....Kaboul? He is so under rated it is criminal.
Agree on Ledley though. Incredible player but age/Injuries have taken their effect. Apparently he was doing fine this season and then a young keeper knocked him over in training...and that was that.

Hopefully we get vertonghen.

Honestly the best defender in the premiership was Laurent Koscielny, for me no doubt, he was vital for Arsenal and without him they would have let in even more goals than they did lol. He also scored some vital ones

Hes vital for Arsenal but he is the best of a bad defence. He aint in Vidic/Kompany/Skrtel's league by far.

Arsenal's central defence have been there downfall all season.

Doesnt being a great footballer include professionalism on and off the field? If so then Terry should be no where near this list.

Sorry I meant to say Spurs need a decent CB to partner Kaboul, then they would be a good side. I almost felt bad for King when he kept getting turned by Holt at WHL, King in his prime wouldn't have let Grant anywhere near the Spurs box let alone clearly foul him in the area. His decline was inevitable, there is no way you can continue to play to a high standard when you are injured so regularly and very rarely play consecutive games.

Kaboul partnering a new CB combined with Parker infront of them in defensive mid could be very difficult to get through even for the best teams.

Central defence wasn't Arsenal's problem, as mentioned it was fullback where the issues came. We had to play the likes of Djourou, Coquelin and Miguel there quite a few times. The left side is a worry even when people are fit, Andre Santos has no positional sense whatsoever and although better Gibbs is far from the class of Cole/Clichy that we've had over the past decade.

He was the first to vote for him, he's since been joined by someone else. I've yet to vote :)
