Best hardware related customer service you've recieved?

In relation to the companies you've blacklisted what are your favourite companies to directly deal with?

For me it has to be Logitech. I have never experienced such excellent CS. They've replaced my dinovo keyboard set 3 times without any questions, the last one they sent was the upgraded laser version. They've also replaced my Z-5500's, again no questions asked delivered and picked up within a few days.

I will continue to buy all my peripheral related goods from Logitech, their Customer Service is out of this world!

Fortunately that's the only company I've contacted directly. The rest are usually via the store you buy from.

Share your experiences :)

Probably also Logitech here. Replaced my MX1000 due to battery issues with no questions.

Middle click is broken now though, waiting for a reply.

Have had to deal with some companies that are extremely bad at customer service. 2 months+ to supposedly test my motherboard, they then sent the exact same board back (un-repaired, un-replaced) with no reason why.

Microsoft RMA for my Xbox360 was also pretty good.

ive only ever had to RMA a toshiba laptop, stupid 15year old step son stepped on the charger brick and something cracked inside... so naturally i lied and said it just stopped working lol :D

phoned them up had a courier out the next day to collect the laptop+charger recieved the laptop + new charger back within 2 working days

they told me not to bother packaging it up aswell as the courier would do it, he came with a nice sized cardboard box + foam inserts to keep it safe.

Well OCUK and Enermax have been very good with their RMA service. Those are actually the only 2 companies I dealt with and thankfully I've had no RMA nightmares.

Currently in the midst of my first return (Seagate HDD). From what I've heard I shouldn't come across any problems!

JVC were extremely nice....had bought a camcorder that went faulty after about 18 months with little use......when i did a search on the web for the fault i found out that the model i bought and a few others actually shipped with a faulty sensor and customers had up until 18months to contact JVC for repairs...basically i had just missed it.
anyway about another year later i thought i'd give them a ring anyway(this is 30months after i purchased it)...i told them the problem and they said its fine....arranged to pick it up in 2 days time and then sent it back to me(repaired) within 2 weeks all free of charge.

BFG were pretty good too...had bought a 7800gt which i had for about a year but it always seem to run really hot even though i never clocked it higher than what they had done already.....anyway it came to a point that it was starting to run at around 100c when gaming and games became unplayable so i sent them an email.....they told me where to send it and within 2 weeks i had it replaced with a new one.

logitech wasnt so good for me...when my g5 became faulty i gave them a ring......they kept me on the phone for 25mins just to tell me that within the first year the warranty is with the retailer.....wasnt too bad though as ocuk replaced it for me.

XFX is a worst ever.

agree with that.....when my xfx card went faulty it didnt seem to matter how many times i emailed them they simply didnt reply!.
i would NEVER EVER buy from xfx again.

Logitech - MX1000's chargin stations replaced twice, new ffet for the mice multiple times too, no questions asked.

G15 Replaced due to old one flashing madly whenever plugged in, took 2 days to receive the new (albeit V2)

Hiper - Sent PSU on the monday, Thursday received a brand new sealed retail unit.

WD as well - their advance RMA service is great :)

Gskill, easily the quickest and easiest RMA turn around ive ever had and they were all very nice folks, any information you wanted was presented to you very swiftly

Having to shop to holland was the only downside of he entire deal, but considering the speed things were done you would have thought id posted it next door :p

If only other Hardware Manufacturers would be so generous!!..

only problem is generosity doesnt make money, so situations like that are quite rare :(

Antec

Got three free fans with my case because there was a small chance they might be a little bit noisier then they were supposed to be. Sweet.

The rest of CS experiences have been pretty dire. About the next best being getting a free spindle of 50 cd's with a replacment 17" CRT which was near DOA back in 2003... but that didnt cancle the cost of shipping that heavy ass monitor.

Logitech - had a couple of keyboards and mice replaced free of charge (G7 mouse Mx1000?) and a keyboard a while ago (didnt have a receipt and was over a year old)

Dell - for monitors, top service, what more can i say

Akasa - i lost the 775 fitings for my akasa evo a while ago (so i said) and they sent replacement free 3 days later

Geil Taiwan - replaced some memory in good time from Taiwan

Criucial/ Lexor - RMA was quick 2 working days

Samsung / Rexo - replaced a faulty hard drive within a week

Microsoft - replaced a 360 in good time cant remember exactly how long, also it was a notch under 3 years old

another one more sales than customer service..

Ordered 2 hard drives from a well known online hardware store, recieved 460 x Cisco short hall optical (thingies) listed at £150 each on their web site! - this was sent to my house in 3 large box's I had £69,000 of gear for the price of 2 hard drives.. i stupidly sent them back.. sigh.... I regret doing that...

Must give a shout-out to Samsung too.

Bought a monitor from the MM last month, but it started dying within a couple of days. Filled out their online RMA form and they phoned me back the next day. Only had to provide the serial number (which was great as I didn't have the receipt or warranty card). Two days later they phoned again to arrange a date to swap it out, and swap it out they did on the agreed date. I gave the courier the broken monitor and it's stand, and he handed me a new monitor and stand. Fast, painless and I didn't even have to make a single phonecall.

Only ever had to RMA some Crucial RAM - service was very good. Sent RAM off Weds afternoon, got new stuff Saturday morning.

Kudos also to Corsair for sending me a new lid for my Flash Voyager after I lost the original one. Shame I've now lost the new one as well

Best and worst support both go to Dell!.

Scenario 1, Laptop failer under warrenty. Called support, same day a man arrived, removed the hard drive (which he left with us), next day laptop returned, hard disk reinstalled, problem sorted. Very good service.

Scenario 2, Desktop computer, DVD Rom drive failer under warrenty. Called support, got india, insisted we attempted to reinstall windows!!! Dude the DVD drive is broken it doesnt read CD's (it still read DVD's though). click.. called support got india again.. click... called again got india... click.... Finally called and got a friendly irish guy from the irish call center. New DVD drive arrived 2 days later.

Credit where its due, Dell's irish team are great, but their farmed out support is completely worthless.

Logitech are awesome. Twice I have bought expensive mice (MX 1000 and MX revolution) cheap (£20) without cradles and chargers. Both times logitech have sent me new ones for free. Just bought the wireless keyboard you normally get with the mx revolution for £19. Im hoping that it will work with my bluetooth dongle as its BT and my mx rev is RF. If not may have to grovel to logitech again :D

Well logitech wouldn't provide me with a reciever for my keyboard. Turned out to be a RF one instead of BT. Kind of annoyed as if you go to the US support site you can simply purchase the one you want. So have had to by one from ebay. But they have tryed to fob me off with a 35% discount. Which is great but theres nothing I want to buy.

Another vote for logitech..

Also bought a tv from a company called 1staudiovisual last year, had 2 dead pixels and they agreed to replace it (which i thought was nice), courier turned up to collect the next day, and then later another turned up with a replacement.. :)

I have just had a good experience with Logitech too, my new mouse arrived today, their first reply was last sunday and after asking me to check things they sent the new mouse on weds.

Only thing is they want the plug back off the old one, I dunno whether to bother or not.
