Best instant noodles?

Nice. Cant really keep that in my desk drawer for emergencies though :p

Keep the seaweed in the draw along with a bottle of sesame seeds.

Soft boil the egg in advance, they keep for a couple of days, and you can make the meat in advance too. You can take them to work and keep them in the fridge at work and use the hot broth to warm up the thinly sliced meat and egg.

Since I came back from Japan I have been boiling the sauce in a pan separate from the noodles, another pan of hot water just for the noodles. You get a much cleaner looking broth and more tasty noodles.

Add in a soft boil egg and then some home made char siu and a handful of spring onions, sprinkle with some sesame seeds, it turn a meh bowl into something presentable.

Since the meat is already done, the whole thing can be made in about 10 mins here.

This is the kind of thing I like to do. A bit of heat can also be added (from a sauce or from a fresh chilli) and you can also add a squeeze of lime juice or coriander as well.

Can also get a hot chicken thigh or leg or something from most supermarkets for about 70p for a nice addition, just shred the meat off that.

I’ve been trying Different noodles this week and if I’m honest, shin cups are not too of my list.

The Ko-lee noodles are much better, more noodles and a nicer flavour.

Just bought 12 shincups off amazon for £9 thanks to this thread :D (used to eat a lot of Bombay badboys back in the day)

(They’re not fishy or anything are they ? I hate fish flavourings !)

No, they are not fishy in the slightest. The taste of heat and MSG (In a good way :p)
They DO have Anchovies in them though - which when alergic to fish, is not a good thing
