Best instant noodles?

Bought some Instant Ramen from a little Chinese Supermarket in Bournemouth, including some Shin Spicy Ramen.

Meh, it is spicy but that's all the flavour really, the noodles are bouncy and good texture. Overall though, not something I will have often and I'd think there are nicer ones to be had.

I’ve heard kabuto taste of nothing. :p

Recently bought a pot noodle.. the Brazilian BBQ is really good. Tastes of peppered steak. (I know they’re nowhere near as good as they used to be) but this was nice

Edit. Put a load more bbq sauce in with the sachet too :D

Indeed. A rule of thumb for noodles pots, is never fill it to the line. It ends up a watery mess.

You need to fill, maximum, to where the noodles sit.

They were awful! Completely bland.

I think that perhaps pouring the water up to the brim as per the instructions is probably overkill and just destroys any remote flavour thats in them.
So it wasn't just my (and my wifes) experience of this stuff that I mentioned earlier in the thread. I can't understand how that junk has good reviews on Amazon because the ones we had were just tasteless and the noodles were like dry rubber bands.

Is it just me or have Super noodles gone down hill recently? I used to love the BBQ and chicken versions years ago, but got some recently and they were tasteless and the BBQ ones just tasted horrible to the point it went in the bin.

The best instant Noodles I have had are Koka noodles. They are probably full of msg, but they are full of flavour and pretty cheap compared to super noodles. Tescos used to sell them but like everything i like they end up discontinuing them .

Saw these in home bargains yesterday and thought of this thread lol. I bought some spicy stir fried, Tom yum, beef and curry. They didn't have chicken. Not tried the others yet but the spicy stir fried and Tom yum are very tasty! I'm going back for more lol

New flavour alert!

In my local Asda they've added a couple of new noodle pots. One is a new Nong Shim variety called "Soon Veggie Cup", as the name suggests it has no meat and is not at all spicy, was quite nice, actual noodles were of the good Nong Shim quality as expected. The other new brand is Samyang, covered in Korean writing with the only english words "hot chicken flavour cup ramen", and the word "mania" next to some korean words. This was absolutely vicious. A grade hotter than even the Nong Shim Hot & Spicy pot. The broth could be used to dye anything permanently orange if required, and was quite a challenge to drink. In fact the instructions say it is one of those you are supposed to drain all water before adding the sauce, but I like a broth so ignored that, will probably make it as directed next time and avoid the risk of throat rupture.
