Best player you seen play in the Premier League?

Le Tissier - A truly magical talent with an ability to turn a game against anyone despite being surrounded my a mixture of hardwork and mediocrity, even at the end of his career his first touch and instinct made him a joy to watch.

Surrounded by a team of super stars like Henry and Ronaldo were he could have been out of this world.

Ronaldo
Scholes

I think most people who don't have Ronaldo are mostly saying it because they just hate Man U that much or because how he acts/talks/behaves rather than solely on the football. (I'm a Fulham fan)

I hate Manchester United as all my brothers support them and I support Arsenal but lets forget about that/them ;-) and can't stand the slimy way Ronaldo acts but he is without doubt one of the best players to have been in the premiership.

Yep - 1992 to 1996 at Sheffield Wednesday. I'd say the Premier League's most entertaining player, if not the best.

Just so everyone's clear - Graham Taylor was nuts, yeah?

Chris Waddle's best days were probably behind him during his time at Wednesday, yet he still was amazing!

I am going to vote for Henry though, just ahead of Le Tissier.

He's not as good as Friedel, Given or Seaman in Premiership terms.

As for saying people not having Ronaldo because they hate either MU or his attitude, that's a helluva insult to some of the great players we've seen over the years in the Premiership such as Schmeichel, Le Tissier, Henry etc. People will have different opinions and if people think it is so obvious that Ronaldo should be #1 for everyone then clearly they don't regard anyone else very highly.

I know I commented on people questioning others opinions (or simply telling them they're wrong) but this is one thing I can't understand. In what way is VDS on a par (or even close) to Schmeichel?

He isnt. Not by a long chalk.

VDS was very good, then very dodgy, then incredible. Overall he was a fantastic keeper for us.

However Schmeichel for us was one of the (if not the) best keepers ever.

After yesterdays performance and what he has done since he arrived. I think the best player i have ever seen is David Silva.

I only ever really watched Henry on MOTD or when on the rare occasion i could get a ticket for Highbury but i have been to a lot of City games and Silva never fails to deliver. A potentially frightening partnership with Aguero/Balo/Dzeko is very much on the cards.

Fabregas has been doing that Silva job for years and you've seen him!

For me, I always revert to my favourite in these threads, rather than 'the best' and for me it's Bergkamp, inspired so many of my thoughts and so much of my passion for football

Not for City :p

Bergkamp was pretty special, only player around now that is like him is Berbatov.

Not even a close comparison. Bergkamp was a magician.

For me it has to be Juninho.....

OK seriously then Henry, Ronaldo, Bergkamp, Giggs.

I remember seeing Giggs as a 17yo wing wizard in the 92/93 season and everyone raved over him, he was easily the best winger in the world in his mid 20's. If only he had perfected the final ball into the box early in his career.

Surprised at all the Le Tissier love, although he was undoubtedly a talent and could do things nobody else could have done, he was too inconsistent and too slow.
