Best savings account?

Hopefully chip will announce a bump in the next day or two, they've been pretty on it so far every time the rates have risen

Chse is looking increasing less appealing. So much for their "blow the competition out of the water" statement they made when they launched.
They're still the only current account that offers ongoing 1% cashback without a fee as far as I'm aware. That's pretty decent, although probably offset business wise by the fact they offer sightly lower rates on saving.

Zopa's basic rate for their instant saver is still 3.21%. There's also 3 levels of pot you can open with notice periods to get a little more (7 days: 3.25%, 31 days: 3.31%, 95 days: 3.47%). They've been slower to react to the interest rate increases but it has remained higher than most instant access.

Someone did point out you cannot add to a pot that has notice served on it, I.E. You've requested to take that money out and you're waiting. I'm not agressively saving and hoping to throw my pot at a house so not an issue for me but useful to know for those frequently moving about.

Do you think they could change that or once they announce something its set in stone, particularly since Chip is 3.4% now. Perhaps Chase will rethink and increase their rates.
Chip has been 3.4% since the beginning of the month, I assume they'd have already taken that into account.

Ah ok, Im still happy with Chase, the slightly higher rates from the others are not enough to make me jump, and I like the 1% cash back using the current account.
