Best SIM only deal for Nexus 4?

Anyone know this?

If I recall correctly (I left GiffGaff a while ago), you have the option to add credit to your account which is used if your goodybag allowance runs out or you use stuff your goodybag does not cover such as calling overseas.

Hmmmm this is interesting can you do that with all there plans, just add internet for £3?

Only works for phones though, I had the SIM zero plan with the add-on meaning I get unlimited internet for £3 but they blocked my iPad from using it! Worked for a little while and then they stopped and said I have to use a mobile internet or a specific iPad plan!

Looking at going to 3, possibly their cheap 500gb sim only deal.

My crap phone, on unlimited but usage was under 500gb.

I have seen the tables the phone companies produce with how many emails etc.

What are real world usage experiences of decent fast phone and usage?

Hope to use the memory for music - managed to cut back on quality and fit decent playlist into 4gb.

Also, I can't find what happens with 3 when you reach 500gb - stops/charges/slows?

Thanks

I used to use the unlimited on my phone but i was getting no where near enough usage to warrent it on my iphone. Maybe a good thing to do would to be get the unlimited for a couple of months, work out how much you used them months and then decide if you can manage with the 500MB. Its essentially pay as you go anyways except your spending your credit money on a goody bag sort of thing like giff gaff does.

As for when you reach 500mg i think they just start charging you. However if you have no credit on your phone they can not. If i remember rightly you also get 150mb free every time you top up lasting a month.

On Giffgaff when you top up to get your Goodybag... do you get to spend the credit too like on standard PAYG, for example on international calls etc? Or you have to top up extra if you want to spend money outside your free allowances?
You actually SPEND the money on the goody bag. So you would have to top up extra yes to use stuff outside of your allowance.

I've just gone for the Virgin Media deal, so I get:

1200 Minutes
Unlimited Minutes to other Virgin phones
1GB Data
Unlimited Texts

All for £12 per month on a rolling 1 month contract.

Should do me I reckon, the Nexus 4 is using a normal sized sim right? :o

If someone finds a better deal I can always cancel at any point too, I love not being tied in.

Micro sim.

I've just been reading around now and it seems that you can get a micro sim from Virgin if you take out a phone included contract with them, such as the HTC One X which needs a micro sim. It seems difficult to get a micro sim on the 1month PAYG virgin deal however.

So I guess now we need to work out which is the best/cheapest sim cutter that works. A lot of people are going to be in the same boat with the Nexus 4.

Does any one know if Virgin Media actually offer HSPA+ ?

I can't find any thing online?

I believe all networks support HSPA+, it's pretty standard by now.

I think the main thing you should be looking for if your getting a Nexus 4 is DC-HSDPA, that's the new 3G technology that doubles HSPA+ speeds from 21mbps to 42mbps.

This is currently being rolled out for Three and O2, I'm not entirely sure about other networks though.

I have Giffgaff, however I have a question. I only ever seem to get 3-4MB download speeds max. I thought O2 have HSPA+ enabled. My phone is GSM900 so it can achieve those speeds. Even though I'm based in London, I have not seen faster.
