BEST UK PRICE - PHANTEK COOLERS

the size and weight of this type of cooler is the only thing that is putting me off from getting one :(

Don't worry about the weight. Its mounting is excellent and doesn't cause any motherboard flexing. Weight isn't as much of a problem as the actual mounting kit. Even the ALC units are worse in that regard. Having used a fair few coolers, the one that cause the most problems aren't the heavy dual tower coolers but the ones with crappy mounting kits.

tbh I tend to go with ttl especially on cooling, and according to him, the nh-d14 is the best cooler out just now, followed by the nzxt havik 140

The Havik isn't even in the same league as the dual tower coolers; Alpenfohn K2, Phanteks, Silver Arrow and NH-D14.

cheers for the reassurance, will keep that in mind

What is the performance of these with the fans in a pull/pull configuration rather than a push/push configuratioin?

White & red looks nice.

Seriously considering on this or Silver Arrow but anyone have any idea of how it'll fit inside Bitfenix Shinobi? (I have the windowed version.)

Corsair H50 is losing it's appeal and is causing very slight airflow issue so I want something different.

Tiny Toms opinions don't weigh much with me and many at the OcUK HQ! He isn't the most reliable source in my personal opinion.

If I were you I would listen to the larger number of other trusted reviews and comparisons that say otherwise and ignore TTL's opinion because that's exactly what it is, his un-proffesional and biased opinion.

And he also compared the Havik to the D-14 and made it look as if it was on par to try and come across as if he wasn't a 'fanboy' of the D-14 to prove a point, and he wanted to get back in to NZXT's pants after shafting them with the H2, even though making out that's exactly what he wasn't trying to do.

Take his reviews and comparisons with a pinch of salt, some are correct and good. But others are complete rubbish and made to suit him and his opinion or revenue off advertising products.

As per the number of professional and trusted reviews/comparisons, the Phanteks is better than the D-14 in performance. And the Havik is far from on par with the D-14 or any of the dual tower coolers.

Cleeecooo! Im disappointed in you - how can you question the all-powerful Noctua D-14?!?

:p :p :p

LOL! no wonder, i never got any search results back! :p

If I could, i'd sig that!

EPIC!

I'm bookmarking this thread now! Will save me time later trying to explain to n00bs about why the self enclosed liquid coolers are crap!

:D
