Best video doorbell....

FFS SGF. You can't go Ring, Blink, Eufy and then suggest a Reolink.

Of course I can, they're virtually all the same however the Reolink will fit with rest of my system.

I have an empty space for it

Hmm, tempted by the Reolink at that price. Does the app have timeline scrubbing in the app like Nest?

Anyone tried using the ONVIF stream to additionally record to Blue Iris locally?

I still have an original OG nest doorbell, which I do like. Video quality is decent, rich notifications are good and reliable, and when the app works the timeline is really nice to scrub through if you want to browse the last few hours. Wondering if this is a decent upgrade or not. The recent nest doorbells seem like a big step backwards, so I think I'll have to move on eventually.

I want continuous recording and would be nice if I could ditch the Nest subscription and record locally on SD card or local server via onvif.

Another one looking for suggestions for prime day!

Any recommendations for a decent battery model? Most of the recommendations seem to be for wired, but unless I'm running the cable outside to a suitable entry point, that's not really going to be feasible :(

Ideally want one where there is also the option to add a flood/spot light camera as well (this can be wired to power - POE would be ideal).

Reolink options look good in terms of price/functionality and they do a POE floodlight camera but I can't see a wireless/battery doorbell option?

Ring looks like it only runs on a proprietary battery pack, basically meaning you need 2 to swap out (adds £25 to the cost) or have the doorbell "dead" while charging?

Eufy has almost everything, but seems their cameras don't support the homebase - how much does this affect the functionality? The " S100 Wired Wall Light Cam" is particularly interesting as we have an existing light just next to the front door in a perfect position for that to go.

Nest - looks like the best option in terms of what it offers, but expensive & needs a subscription

Edit: looks like Eufy are upgrading a lot of the light/cameras to be compatible with the Homebase 3, so this is definitely the strongest contender so far. I've read about the security issues, and not really a concern for me.

They don't do one yet, I've been waiting for one.

Picking the moment to charge up your battery hasn't been a problem in all the years I've had my Ring.
I've never done a test to see how long it takes but pretty sure no more than two hours.

I've got the Reolink WiFi Doorbell coming today but I've had a thought, getting instant video notifications on my phone might need me to buy into a subscription however that will be for all 4 cameras and not just the one for the Ring.

Seen as this thread was bumped.. I don’t suppose there’s any news on whether or not the new Google Nest wired v2 is ever going to be released over here?

I don’t believe the US version is geo-locked to there. I have family visiting in August so debating whether not to ask them to grab one for me.. Or if it’d be too much of a faff.
