They said they dont offer this service so its either wait and buy a x570 or buy a 450/470 and buy a ryzen 1200 for £55 to flash the bios. So the gigabyte would essentially be £170. i imagine i could get a 570 for £200 with out having the hassle of flashing the bios so i might as well just get a 570

Some boards allow you to flash the BIOS without a CPU, might be worth having a look out for one.
im only after a itx board as im not looking to change my case and none of them have that feature
OcUK should flash to the latest BIOS, if requested, for Zen 2 compatibility - but the board will take a few days longer to arrive. They've done it for previous releases and it was confirmed on another thread recently that they would do it for the 3000:
Perhaps, @Gibbo could clarify definitively as a lot of build specs are asking this question when we're compiling builds in the 'New to PC Forum' - we will have to revise what we're recommending.

If OCUK offered the Service of flashing motherboards, they would have Said.
Would take a lot of extra Time.

the crosshair viii is the top board from asus, the msi top board is said to be even more
i can still opt for this and a 3900x i have £1500 ish for both plus a waterblock and fittings
