Best X570 Motherboards

I'm returning my MSI Gaming Pro Carbon x570 board. Hadn't opened it yet so I'm good to return it (bad reviews for VRMs) I@ve a budget of £200 for an 570 board. I'm going that route for PCIe Gen 4 NVME drive. Any suggestions?

Aren't the Gigabyte boards quite good now with decent VRMs like the X570 AORUS elite which is within your budget?

I was going to pull the trigger on the x570 Aorus elite but then the chipset fan is a bit of a concern. I also looked at the same price X470 Strix F Gaming.

Pros and cons needed for this choice.

Would I need an older Ryzen to update the BIOS for the x470 Strix? to get the new 3600 cpu to post? I've a 3600 going into it with 16gig of 3600 ram. I'm looking at that x470 as it's high enough end for me and doesn't have the x570 fan to be concerned about.

So indecisive that it's annoying me.

There will be RGB going into the new build so a mobo with decent ARGB sockets would be great.

Depends where you buy the board from, worth asking the store to see if they will do a bios update prior to shipping, for the x470 that is.

Thought pcie4 was one of your requirements? If so you will need an x570 chipset, well until the b550.

Can you really hear the x570 fan through a closed case and other system fans/noise?

I wanted PCIe4 for the NVME gen 4 drive. It's the fan on the x570 that’s a concern. Fans break over time and I want this mobo to last me a good while. Looking to drop in a 8 or 12 core cpu into it, in a couple of years time too. I’m just concerned that the x570 board fan will fail and hassle that this would cause me, hence the x470 consideration which has no chipset fan.

Obs. Some hassle if the fan broke, but the rest of the board is amazing. Well on the master it is.

The fan and heat sink will be easy to mod or replace if needs be.

Aye I think I'll go for the x570 then. I've modded my case enough to have no fear of modding a chipset fan if it fails, or replace it. Off to the checkout I go :D
I think you'll be happy with any of the aorus. The elite the fan is further away from the GPU slot too. Master its pretty much under it for me, and still no issue.

On the Elite the chipset fan is probably better positioned than all of the other boards - it isn't covered by the GPU at all. My chipset temp doesn't go over 50 so the fan virtually never kicks in anyway. If/when it does I can't hear it.

I've seen reports of others replacing the chipset thermal pad with Kryonaut or similar to drop temps even further. If I did that I'm sure that the chipset fan would never be needed.

Also note that currently no one will be stressing pci4 as nothing really needs it. In a few years with pci4 GPU monster cards and nvme the norm..things might be different, but I doubt it will be an issue for all but a few serious power users.

Aorus Elite's chipset cooling is in better/more sense making end of X570 boards:
It's both reasonably far from heat of graphics cards and fan isn't restricted by marketing craps.
Aorus Pro moves fan couple cm closer to graphics cards and in Ultra marketroids crapped airflow restricting plastic excrement on top of fan.

In comparison whole Asus X570 range has chipset cooler straight under graphics card and its heat.
MSI would actually have the best X570 chipset coolers, but rest of the boards...
