Best youtubers to follow?

The fact that Hearthstone is consistently in the top 5 most watched games on twitch shows how wrong you are
probably 8 year old kids though :P
listening to it in the background.
my son is always watching someone on youtube via his tablet when he's gaming

Totalbiscuit
angry joe
alphaomegasin

Avgn used to be good but all it is now is random games with his mate or montages from his nerd episodes.

If youre into retro stuff then deffo check out Gamesack!!

This isnt a troll post, but why watch somebody else play a game? Just play the games yourselves surely.

Baffles me that these guys make money from just playing the game and slapping it on youtube.

I can imagine watching a tournament possibly, if it was a skillful game. But watching someone play random games of anything really just sounds unappealing.

Why watch football if you can just play it yourself? It's entertainment to some (actually, quite a lot going by the number of subscribers some of them half) people.

I've recently watched his Demon's Souls play through, and I thought it was very good. I found trying to find a decent Demon's Souls series that was actually completed / done in a mature way, took a little more time to find than compared to a Dark Souls play through, unsurprisingly.

Not review channels but I watch these for laughs,
Birgirpall. Always makes me laugh out loud, esp the BF4 trolling.
Mans1ay3r, Gamerpoop. M-Effect parodies especially.

I'm stealing the "no such thing as multi tasking, just doing many things badly" line :)

The people I watch are:
QuickyBaby
Mighty Jingles
Nerd^3

I recently started following rev3games, as i quite enjoy hearing Adam Sesslers opinion on the gaming industry and review's for games too. www.youtube.com/user/Rev3Games

Also i like to watch GiantBombs video content, their group reviews and first looks are a good watch. https://www.youtube.com/user/TheRealGiantBomb

I really hate those youtubers who are over excited about everything, i prefer the more chilled out approach, i find it easier to watch.

TB - Totalbiscuit can be a good watch, he does good things for the PC community by calling out bad games, devs and publishers etc. I respect some of hes opinions, but sometimes he can be really annoying and moans to much. Some of hes videos just have him over focusing on a certain issue, and moaning about it for 30 mins or so.

TB is the only solo Youtuber i follow.

Tell me about it..
I have just started multiplayer BF3 and wanted a noob guide. Unfortunately they all seem to be done by the cast of Fraggle Rock!

Making money should be illegal right lol

Not at all.

Some were alright. Seananners for example and offered decent insight into stuff and still made money.

Then went completely bonkers and just started talking rubbish and posting up crap vids to get more views from kids to make even more money.

Yogscast are the worst for this plus I hate their voices.

KSI is another.

On a superficial level, Angry Joe looks like the kinda douchebag I normally hate, but when I watched a bit more of his videos, I actually started to like him, a lot. His reviews are usually very thorough and fair, even when I disagree with him, his criticisms are usually spot-on. His coverage of E3 and such is usually pretty fun too. Sometimes he can be a bit too much, too ranty or too immature, but still, all in good fun. Subscribed.

TB I have subbed too, he is good for giving general impressions of games, for the most part.

Other than those, I like Matt Lees on videogamer, he is hilariously awesome.

And on Dtoid, Max Scoville is great.

TotalBiscuit - Not everyone's cup of tea, but I like him. I even like his current Hearthstone videos, despite never having even the remotest urge to play it. It's an emotional rollercoaster during every turn. :D

Scott Manley - His easy knack with KSP manoeuvre nodes makes me go weak at the knees. :o

Gopher - His Skyrim content is excellent and is in part responsible for my current gaming obsession.

I used to really like the Yogscast, but they've taken a noticeable turn for the worst over the last year and even Sips, who used to be reliably entertaining seems to have lost his way. In fact this thread has prompted me to have a bit of purge on my 'subscriptions' page. Some of them on there should've been unsubbed a long time ago.

ShoSho - Funny guy!
Gopher - Excellent tutorials and enjoys his playthrough's.
Dslyecxi - For my Arma fix.
TB -If I want to look at a game i want to buy.
SideStrafe - Also like watching his content.

I'm subscribed to TotalBiscuit, and watch all his WTF Is...? videos - they're a good first impressions on a game, and I do seem to find myself agreeing with a lot of his comments/thoughts - although of course I don't just listen or agree with everything, but I use it as a basis for making my own opinions and decisions. Plus, it's something to watch for 25 mins whilst I'm having my lunch break!

TB has said multiple times that the Hearthstone videos are just because they're easy to make whilst he's playing the game, and as publishing YouTube videos is how he makes his living - not putting out a video hurts more than putting out yet another Hearthstone video - those who are interested are watching them, those who aren't, don't! It's neither here nor there to any of us whether he does new videos or not!

Other than that, I'm finding myself having a twitch stream going on in the background quite a bit - I have no interest in playing games like Minecraft, but having it on on my 3rd monitor in my peripheral vision at least gives something different to listening to the radio all day! I've started watching Swebliss's stream over the last few days...

Byze is probably one of the best about for entertainment value. Still got a small subscription base but growing very fast. He does a lot of DayZ vids and they are always hilarious. Check out The Austin Experience too.

Levelcap is good if you're into Battlefield

For world of tanks you have quickybaby, the mighty jingles and highflyer who are all worth checking out.

Robbaz is also hilarious and plays a wide variety of games.
