US: Better Call Saul

Good episode. Good to see Gus back. I don't know how Jimmys going to get out of this one though. I wonder if Mike will have to get involved somewhere.

Totally! he plays Gus so well. The mannerism and the way he conducts himself as a ordinary worker. I guess this is where Gus/Mike meets up for the first time. We alll pretty much know Jimmy will somehow get out of this but I got some real concerns for Kim and how this all unfolds.

Absolutely. He comes across as such a genial, friendly man who loves running his chicken shop. Then you turn your mind to the box cutter episode and it almost gives you a chill when you think of how ruthless and brutal he can be.

I think Kim's going to end up pushing up daisies if I'm honest. That could be the final desperate act that pushes Jimmy into becoming Saul in an attempt to forget his old life and who he used to be. My money's on Gus doing it. Maybe not him but he will be the one ordering it.

It would be amazing if it all ended up that only Jimmy, Mike and Gus survive from BCS, plus Jesse as he is rumoured to turn up sometime. Chuck, Howard and Kim all ending up dead and buried. The first two from Jimmys orders but the staggering twist being Him ordering Kim's death too for something yet to transpire. Saul is a no good SOB whereas Jimmy is a nice but flawed guy. Something huge must happen for him to become the no good POS he ends up as. Can't help speculating wildly about where it's going. It's one of those shows and nothing can be ruled out in Vince Gilligan shows.

I can't see this happening. VG has said that BCS won't be as dark as BB.

I think the ones saying the BCS series is too slow do not understand the show, type of people who rush through games and skip the cut scenes, same as the ones who just want pure zombie killing in the walking dead.

This could well have been an episode of Breaking Bad, the way it went down and was shot. Glad the story is ramping up towards the BB timeframe as last season I was musing I didn't give a toss if Kim got the Mesa Verde job.

Another good episode :) Really looking forward to seeing how this pans out

Do we know if this is the last season? Or will they drag it out for a 4th :P

It's finally picking up but I'm getting really bored of the ludicrous 'slow sequences' where almost nothing happens. It's not 'good cinematography' if it starts to get boring. Breaking Bad might have had these sections at points but they are really taking the biscuit this time around.

The first and second episodes with Mike slowly driving around was padded out excruiciatingly.

Disagree, I like the long drawn out scenes, feels realistic in a way way.

Agree, this series is getting a tad pretentious imho

Disagree, the show is too quick if anything :p
