Beyond: Two Souls

I absolutely loved the demo, can't wait for my order next week. Went back to playing GTA 5 and it just felt mundane for the first hour or so until I got back into the swing of things.

In the demo when your running through the woods with the rain, WOW, looks amazing!

Downloaded the demo overnight, will give it a go in a bit.

Regarding the scenes that have been cut:
"We can confirm that three minor aesthetic changes were made to the PAL version of BEYOND: Two Souls," said SCEE. "These changes are purely cosmetic and do not affect gameplay or the overall story. The modifications were made in order to meet the requirements of regional ratings boards in the PAL region, and with the full support of the development team who do not feel that the title has been compromised in any way."

"There are only two amends between the EU and US versions of the game, amounting to about 5-10 seconds of gameplay that's not been removed, just edited slightly to be in line with a PEGI 16 rating,"

So nothing to do with the Germans really, it was so that it could attain a PEGI 16 rating. Seems fair to me.

Just played the demo , looks great graphically and looks like this could have a really good story , controls will take a while to get used to.

The characters faces look so real:eek:

One thing I noticed was some graphic glitches towards the end of the demo , anyone else see this?

Bit different from Heavy Rain but I cant wait to get this!

It's games like this that make you want to get the next generation Sony console. MS simply play it so safe with their games, you get nothing like this on the Xbox.

This is visually as good as anything I have seen on next gen. God knows how they are extracting these kind of visuals from the PS3.

They play it so safe that they turned down Heavy Rain on the 360 :p that was a whole lot of missed money.

MS dont invest in first parties beyond their main franchises and now Kinect as they are just happy to buy exclusives now, expecting anything creative is gonna be a big ask especially with the console launches. Its why theres some of us so eager for Indie development because in truth thats the place most likely to see interesting ideas and uses of the technology...

Totally. Sitting down to play this last night made me think long and hard about the next gen. I know titles like this would be 12+ months away on the PS4 anyway, but you just realise that with games like this, and Heavy Rain and other games just how diverse the range is with Sony, compared to the usual type of stuff you get with MS.

Seems it didn't download overnight after all, thought that was the whole point of the download queue on the PSN Store website but whatever, I'll leave it going while I'm at work this evening.

Just re-played the Demo and it plays out completely different. So many of your actions effect the way the game plays out. This is really impressive if the whole game is like this...
