BF Hardline Visceral Games

I think the price is a bit cheeky considering it's literally BF4 on new maps, with new models and a game mode which is an alteration of a current. Things like this used to be sold as an "expansion" at a reduced price.

Thats exactly what they said about battlefield vietnam and battlefield 2142

Vietnam was just 1942 with vietnam skins and 2142 was just battlefield 2 with future skins.

Its hardly a new thing.

I'm not denying you right, but you talk as if this is the first time its ever happened. DICE have done this repeatedly in the franchise history.

So me saying it's cheeky is saying it like it's the first time?
Can I not complain about a trend and exemplify how it also used to be done?

Just because it has, does not mean it's right - or good, for the consumer.

its not really cheeky though is it ? its just normal practice for publishers like EA and Activision.

Look at EAs sports game that re use huge chunks of previous years games but then just re skin them with this years strips and teams.

Wasn't that impressed when I played last night. Not keen on the game modes and hit reg seemed iffy at times. Will give it another go this morning.

For me player movement still doesn't feel as good as BF3.

So I watched the video.

I saw Cops, Robbers, Guns, Sportsbikes, Armoured carriers, Police helicopters among other things.

What's NOT to like? Get in beta, play, have fun, decide if you want to buy. Why rag on it already?

Who care's what it is called. What is has 'copied' or what it MIGHT or MIGHT NOT be.

Got it working now, thank god!

We’re aware that some players who have been selected for the Battlefield Hardline beta, and who have successfully downloaded and installed the game, are being directed back to the beta registration page after clicking “Play” in Origin.

If this is happening to you, please try this workaround.
Log-in to Origin.
Go to your Origin “My Games” tab.
Right click “Battlefield Hardline Beta” and click “View Game Details”.
Locate and copy the Product Key.
Click the Origin menu in the top left of the screen and select “Redeem Product Code”.
Follow the flow to redeem the Product code.
Now log out of both Origin and Battlelog.
Log back into Battlelog (do NOT log back into Origin yet)
From the top drop down menu select Battlefield Hardline.
This should now be the correct Battlelog site and allow you to log into the game.
Select quick match and Origin will automatically start up, log in and activate the game.

You should now be able to access and enjoy the Battlefield Hardline beta.

underwhelmed is the correct term for this. just looks like they added a new game mode to BF4 to be honest, hardly worth making hype over an "entirely new battlefield" :p

looked like a laugh and to be fair to EA they had a lush set up on the roof at E3 for it....but still..... meh! :p

in the beta, not played it yet but specced as I was eating my dinner last night.... i claim bf4 beta status... people will hype the **** out of this for what ever reason saying how much better it plays than bf4 (less bugs? :p ) and then on release it will turn into the standard cluster **** of bugs and server/performance issues as it always does.

I'd like to be proved wrong and it come out, be amazing, no release issues or bugs etc.... but at the same time.... I want it to completely flop as it feels like a betrayal to the battlefield series :\

Normal Practice = Can't be a rip off?
Of course it can!

whether its a rip off or not is entirely down to the perceived value for money.

Considering they have been doing this since battlefield vietnam, and people keep buying the games. It can't be that much of a rip off, or people simply wouldn't buy it.

Let's not forget of course, that despite battlefield vietnam just being a vietnam mod for 1942, it was still huge fun !
