BF Hardline Visceral Games

Is there anyway to get a guaranteed slot? One lad on TS last night managed to get the email after applying about 10 times, cue everyone on TS (we're a large BF4 clan) started hammering the applications.

Tried another 10 times this morning but no email comes through to say we're in.
 
Watched a stream on twitch.

Had to close it after 30secs as I was raging so much as to what they have done with this series.

A year after BF4 they are releasing this full priced utter cheesy garbage.

I wouldn't bother if they left this out on the PC, as lets not forget they abandoned their PC base for years after BF2 to concentrate on the console market, but the fact they are churning this XBOX360/PS3 port garbage on the PC in 2014 is unforgiving.

The 360 / PS3 port comment is way off the mark. The PC version is getting a cross platform release with the PS4 and Xbox one.

The 360 and PS3 version is being ported from that by a separate dev team

If you want a battlefield game that favors one platform over another then you're out of luck. EA and DICE have made it clear that the console and PC market are as important to them as each other, and they're unwilling to favor one platform over another. You will only ever get cross platform releases of battlefield games from now on. You will likely never see a battlefield game where the PC is the "lead" platform ever again.

The console market has shifted such that console games want the same game as the PC version, and they aren't going to **** off 2 of the 3 most important platforms to favor just the PC.

Applied on 2 different accounts and it hasn't shown up on either origin account and no emails either.

Never mind, probably saves me going through a stage of wanting to destroy something due to the game doing my head in like most DICE games do.
 
Just had a few games, just imagine BF 4 rush + capture the flag with a reskin of cops and robbers lol

Was quite fun but not worthy of a buy.

It's a reskinned BF4 360/PS3 port.

The 360/PS3 will have the same engine, same maps and same gameplay ?


If they cared about the PC market they would stop giving us ****** 360/PS3 ports.

Need to play it a bit more and get more stuff bought/unlocked

But so far, nothing is really that much different from bf 4.

I think pay day 2 looks like a better robbers/cops game.

It is the sort of game where you need to play with friends.
 
its just payday 2 with mp . thing is reg is still ea bad and once the im jumping of a skyscraper gets boring to you its a very shallow game.

bf4 is a better game and that takes some saying :p

if we look at this logically.

EA dropped medal of honor as it just doesn't sell anymore for the same people who make that to make a title in between dice making battlefield. so they looked at whats popular grand theft auto payday and combined the two.

the only thing is this isn't as good as any of those singular so you get a its okay vibe. at 5 quid id probably buy it at anything else no thanks :p

graphically its okay but nothing special. i tried it on my normal bf4 settings low all and ultra mesh had about 110-120 fps then tried it maxxed it wasn't that pretty and the reg was terrible as you always get in any bf game.

i did have a bit of fun though so that what saves it a little from being a totally 1 pound bargin basement buy.
 
Are the maps bigger and more engaging than PD2? I enjoyed PD2 for the time I played but it soon got boring given you can pretty much predict what's going to happen every time.

I'm saying nothing until after the game is released. I have my "Told you so" "You deserve no sympathy" and "haha" card firmly placed in my pocket until then. :p
 
Sorry I went mad. Calm now. But if you continue to get sucked in, EA and the rest of them will never learn

Make them listen by closing your wallet

Play the beta. Decide for yourself. But wait for actual gameplay reviews and not hyped YouTuber comments who clearly get paid to avoid speaking about issues

Oh and I saw the recent JackFrags video. The saying 'doth protest too much' sprung to mind

Game is running fine for me atm and hit reg. seems "ok" atm....

But final game will prob crash and have terrible netcode :p Saying that, I am 99% certain that I won't be buying it anyway, got bf 4/3 for MP and ton of other games coming out this year which look far better!

Only the 1 map but it is quite big and open, reminds me of siege of shanghai in bf 4 but better.
