Cannock did this to me...

:(

Vanilla rlc's.

I know I can do it myself but I really cba! Was going to maybe get rid soon for something a bit bigger as I need to bring the front end up a bit.

Anyone know if there are any decent mounts available for the HTC Desire S, preferably something that offers waterproofing and isnt the size of a house brick. :p

Cheers

AHAHAHAH I had to laugh.

I feel for you. CRC is pretty lame at the moment. - I hope you give them a right rollicking.
They said they'd ring me back... still waiting. Sent an e-mail last night too, which they haven't replied to. Regardless, I sent everything back to them this morning with a note telling them to build the wheels. Its only the 3rd time Ive bought anything from CRC, and I've had a problem every time now (1st time, they sent wrong headset. 2nd time, wrong size seatpost). It's pretty disheartening.

Brooder, how are you finding your Canyon AM so far?

Excellent, I'm really pleased with it but I'm starting to think a large may have been big enough ...

I want to shorten the (100mm) stem and maybe get the larger riser bars as I feel I'm leaning too far forwards.

It pedals well uphill, and feels very stable and fast while descending. I'm pleased I went with the AM instead of the XC and I'll be looking at Canyon again for my next purchase (DH bike).

Thats pretty unlucky, I've ordered a fair few things from them and touch wood have never had a problem and everything has turned up when its meant to turn up!

I'm 6'4 and I'm looking at a Large. I've always preferred a slightly smaller bike than I should be riding. I'll be swapping the standard stem & bars for a 70mm Thomson and some Easton Havens too - just need them to release the 2012 range first!

So it's not too heavy on the ups? Much pedal-bob when you're cranking it?

Right I'm by no means an expert rider but I'm not a muppet either. I've ride reds / blacks in Wales, grisdale, gisburn and in the peaks without too much drama.

But yesterday I hoped on my bike to ride home from work and mustn't have been paying attention as a 3" curb in the carpark sent me flying over my handlevars and landing finely on my face! :o

Unlucky it was that highgrip stuff like sandpaper so I've got a scratch on my right checkbone, my nose, my top lip is in a bad way as is my chin. The top of both forearms are scratched. I ripped my gloves and scratched my right hand and hurt my little finger. Also done the ligaments on my left middle finger. Also scratched my chest and ripped my top! Finally banged up and scratched my right knee pretty bad.

Just on the way to the dentist as I banged my front tooth too.

No idea how I managed it, think I need a fullface helmet for curbs :o

My prides hurt the mostthough, hoping the security guards got it on cctv :p

Edit - oh and I'm getting re-married in three weeks (got married abroad but having renewal and party again here) so let's hope I heal up by then!

unfortunatly your not the only one i've only ordered from them 3 times and every order there was a problem, this was well over six monthes ago i can't believe they haven't sorted themselves out.

Yeah, it's pretty poor, especially for such a big online retailer.

They just sent me an e-mail anyway:

"We are sorry to hear that your wheels have arrived without being assembled. We understand this has caused some inconvenience. To prevent any further hassle we would ask that you bring them to a reputable bike shop to have the wheels built.

We will of course ask that you send us pictures of the items being sent not built and a cost for having the wheels build locally. However if you have already returned the wheels to CRC we will aim to have the built ASAP and hopefully with you for Saturday.
"

Nice of them to offer to reimburse for having a local builder assemble them, I've already sent the parts back to them this morning, so hopefully i'll get my wheels returned to me fully built pretty sharpish.

No it doesn't feel too heavy at all. Pedal-bob is fine, I expected much worse, if you stick propedal on it still moves, it is noticeable but doesn't bother me

I'm 5'10 and have a medium AM6 and I'd be amazed that a large would be big enough for you. I've swapped out the stock 70mm stem for a 90mm one and have my seat as far back on the rails as it will go and would still prefer a bit more length.

The weight isn't that noticeable but I swapped out the 2.4 rear tyre for a 2.25 for a bit more mud room and less drag. My last few bikes have been horst links so I'm used to the bob, but the propedal does tone it down a bit. Spin smoothly and it bearly bobs at all.

Ok i'm back, sorry to annoy you all! It seems that Cycle Scheme is a bit naff around my area simply because so few shops stock a decent range of bikes and are a member of cycle scheme.

This has led me to look into Halfords, yes i know their building team are very hit and miss but i feel confident i can check over whatever bike i end up getting myself to make sure they haven't messed it up. Also Halfords have adapted to the new VAT rulings a bit better than cycle scheme, resulting in an extra 10%ish saved by me overall.

Am i right in thinking this will be a good bike for an 'all rounder'? I don't want an all out road bike as i will occasionally take it on leisure trips, but it will mainly be used for road commuting. I know the brand is good, just wanted to make sure:

http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/..._productId_777793_langId_-1_categoryId_165534

Or would this be better value for money:

http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/..._productId_777763_langId_-1_categoryId_165534

Or are they both naff?
