Yes, think we're trying Llandudno dry slope. Was up in Milton Keynes Sno!Zone on Monday and had a full day on it.. LOVED it! Looking to book a boarding holiday soon.
Awesome backflip!
All this talk of electric and road bikes has made me sad, so I bought some new lights

Ended up with some wilkos specials for £12.
Off for a ride through woods tonight. See how fun that is.
Had a weekend trying out a friends Demo 8, only had time to do a quick run around haldon forest (blue trial!) as the miss's isnt that confident on a bike to do anything downhilly, she fell off the bike on a burm trying to lean it over!
It was a nice bike, setup for my weight, felt pretty smooth and took some big hits pretty well, but damn its a heavy bike, was hard work trying to peddle over anything that wasnt flat or downhill. Still it was a nice bike just a shame I don't like the black/red look of the frame, looks bulky!
Which year?
One of my riding mates' Demo 8 is 34LBS.
Regardless, the Demo doesn;t pedal well regardless. Besides, who wants to be pedalling a DH bike over long flat stuff anyways?
Here's his : http://www.southerndownhill.com/forum/index.php/topic,239189.90.html
34 with Air, 35 with coil.
Was a 2010 model, my old trek was 31lbs but this thing weighted at least 38lbs if not more. Bike was still its original spec (2010 Demo 8 II)
Have you got them yet, i have been looking at lights as mine just isnt bright enough for night trial riding. Was looking at the Hope ones but these Ay Ups look great.
I'm going to guess it's not much fun with those lights.
You need good lights to see where you're going.
That's light you woofter!
About 4lbs lighter than my Ellsworth!
'sides, it's not really the weight that makes dh bikes horrible at everything but downhill- it's the tyres. If I stuck my supertackies on a racy XC bike it'd be almost as horrible to ride up a mountain. But with lightweight non-tractor tyres my old SX Trail climbed like a goat. Then crashed all the way back down the hill![]()
I climb on my 34lb Tracer2 with just a bit more effort. MTFU TBH![]()
If you want a laugh, try and get along to fort william for the endurance downhill- great day's racing but also, at the start everyone has to ride or push up from the carpark up to the wallride. It's only about 2 miles but on fat bikes in full armour, under race conditions, it's horrible. And very, very funny.
