They from australia, if so i will get mine shipped to our work office there then get them sent over from there with our next lot of stuff, should save some pennies.

All the batteries i order from hong kong and never once paid anything on import.
Dont suppose they mark as gift or returning property, could say it was sent for repair.

I have been stung on import tax marking something as a gift and even as an engineering sample. Who do these people think they are taxing us?

Would like to know what you think of the Ay-ups after you've used them IC.Im currently using a mixture of P7 and T6 helmet and bar mounted torches and have no problems with the setup apart from the battery life.

Was thinking of going with the 1600 lumen magicshine from ebay @£89 but considering the ay-ups.....As anyone on here got the magicshine? if so what do you think to it?....Would helmet mount the ay-ups or magicshine if i got either of the two.

As I posted earlier I've had Ay-Up's since 2007 with no complaints. I'm hoping to pay the small led upgrade fee when they start offering it again just to get more light at almost no extra battery power reduction :)

I'm waiting for Jim to start selling that £120 dual T6 portable sun which he hasn't had much stock of yet. If you have any questions, he replies quickly and comprehensively.

The version of Magicshine that he normally sells for £90 (Starlight) looks to have a better light quality than the standard mickey mouse Magicshine. He also gives 12 month warranties and is based in the UK, unlike Dealextreme.

Do you know the chap? I messaged him on eBay about lights and he never got back to me. Ended up buying from dx but would have prefered to give him the money.

I know he's recomended on the lanarkshire mtb club and stays on the south side which I cycle through every day near enough.

I've never met the chap but I know a few people who have bought lights from him who have been very happy with his service. Personally I've only exchanged a few emails via ebay. I'm surprised that he hasn't replied to you as every time I've contacted him, he's replied within the hour, even at midnight!! I'd send him another message, maybe he was away for a while.

Went halfers on a GoPro HD Hero cam with a mate. Managed to get one for 149.99 with that Bike Radar deal. Looking forward to getting some decent footage now :)
