steve used mini's when he used hope, xt when with shimano, juicy's with avid i think and now i think hes using juicy ultimate levers with code calipers, seems to be the choice for a lot of pros

You sure? Thought they'd be a little lightweight for DH purposes, and he would've gone for the Mono M4's instead.

Well the pros are hardly on the brakes so they would probably be enough. I did think he ran an M4 front and mini rear though.

he used mini's, purely because he barely does any braking. I think they were the reason he screwed up at RB Rampage.

well i just searched pink bike n all the pics of peats bike with hopes are m4's. But ive definately seen him with mini's n read he was able to use them cos he dont brake so much n they are always kept in tip top shape

So can ya tell what's been changed? :p

Yup.. From 888R's to Fox 40 RC2

Let us know how you get on with them.....the fox forks on my brothers bike feel real nice.

I personally feel you should get them to **** and get some 888 Sl or WC on there. Get a nice green and white theme going for the true celtic supporter. :D

All these bikes make me wanna ride mine but it aint happening if its sitting behind me with one wheel. :(

Not been keeping up with all this as much as I used to, but THAT is a seriously well executed makeover... The Zaskar was around when I started riding (11/12 years ago now) and my how it's come along.

GT aren't quite the force they used to be in mountain biking, but that should step them up a notch or two for sure.

Nice work :)

Its a very nice GT,not sure about the £2100~ price tag though but i guess it is top of the range.

My brother has actually just ordered in the tools for fitting new style xtr as he plans on buying the crankset soon.

GT nearly went bankrupt a few years ago, that's why they aren't the force they used to be. Their 2008 model line up looks like they trying to get back to being one of the big players. I haven't heard any news on the 2008 Avalanche series yet. :(

It is a serious, very lightweight XC hardtail with carbon fibre this and carbon fibre that. Given the current spec list for it you can see why it costs a fair whack.

I want some of those combined XTR brake and shifters. After watching the video on Shimanos website and trying to get my head round it I have decided they are well cool and a must have!

Just out playing on the rocks at the weekend, on a section of trail called El Cap, named after a little rock in Yosemite :)

You look like you're on the brakes there you big girl! :p
