When you have hit some other places you will see Cannock is pretty meh.

I hope so, loved cannock the short time I was there. Hopefully hit wales next year in the summer, stay over there for a few days n check out afan and that weird one pronounced cumcarn! (is is cwmcrn?). There was a mountain bike show on the extreme sports channel showing around 4 or 5 trails in wales where some team norco riders go round the world checking out riding spots, they raved on about it like mad loving it and they've hit up morzine, whistler and hundreds more! Ya should check out the show, its called ride guide mountain bike on most weekdays at around 8:00am on extreme channel, i got the v+ box recording them all, the main presenters are the team norco riders, some white dude with dreads called hoots is crazy good on a bike.

Aslong as the weather holds out me and at least 2 mates will be at cannock sunday to do the dog and monkey trails, finally got a bit more confidence now my fiance bought me a helmet (fox flux). should have had a helmet when i got my bike but never really liked em, but now I got a baby I'm thinking saftey!

Edit: Heres a clip of him in the show http://video.mpora.com/watch/I5lZlMHyw/

Need new gear cables. I have been running Jagwire ripcord for the past couple of years. No sure wether to get another set or try Goodridge or Shimano. Also looking at getting some Muddy Marys after trying a mates bike fitted with some.

Anyone running Muddy Mary 2.35 trailstar compound?

Bike with homemade mudguard :)

Looks well fun, however... how stiff is his riding style?!
I most likely look much worse but that look terrible and his "power wheelies" worse.

Maybe he was just cold. :p The vid shows off the track really well. You can tell me what you think when you come up next year on your Scottish road trip. :D ;)

Can anyone recommend any decent thermal/waterproof socks for riding? I seem to recall my feet almost fell off while riding last winter, my 3 pairs for a fiver Umbro ankle socks from Sports Direct aren't that good in the cold it seems!

Doing my first "learn to jump" session with Matt (that kid in the Whistler video) on Saturday at Woburn, really looking forward to it :)

Unsure which bike to use .. hmmm, DH bike I'm most at home on, Tracer however is lighter and more chuckable, though for some reason I struggle like **** to get it in the air as it just doesn;t jump as nicely as my Mbuzi did (probbaly just me though).

I just ordered some sealskins, haven't received them yet, I'll let you know how they are :)
I figured DH racing in the rain/snow would probably be better with dry feet.

Makes sense to learn on the bike that you find most difficult to get air on. Once you've learnt the skill, apply it to the easy bike = piece of ****.

Cheers :) When do you think you'll give them a try? Got relatives hassling me for present ideas and figured for the first time in the history of Christmas I might actually ask for socks!

It makes sense when you think about it that way, however it also makes sense to learn and get confidence on the bike that you feel most comfortable on, then easily apply it when you have the right technique to the bike you;re not.

We all know that confidence is 80% of the challenge, 20% is skill.

It's not you. It's that RP23. It sucks on the T2. What ever happened to you buying the CCDB?
